Tropico 6 has been in the making for quite some time. Originally scheduled for release on PlayStation 4 back in 2018, it was pushed back to early 2019, and then again to the summer. Now, it finally has a solid release date. According to Eurogamer, the city-building dictator simulator will arrive on PS4 on 27th September.
The game's already been available on PC for months, where it's picked up pretty favourable reviews. Tropico 6 introduces the ability to build your city across archipelagos, and with that comes new transportation methods and other features. It's also running on Unreal engine for the first time, so it should look pretty good too.

Was hoping to would say next week... September 27 is so far away lol
I enjoyed 5, but had to quit after realizing it was one of those that just steals a whole day of your life in a flash, with nothing to show for
I hope the soundtrack is just as good as 5. I played for hours just enjoying the music.
Tropico 5 was a solid PS+ freebie and one I played a fair bit. The gameplay was fun enough but a bit shallow at times and you could suddenly have your economy go to shot for no seeming reason.
@Cutmastavictory Oh god, the music was so annoyingly catchy. The voiceover stuff really got on my nerves though.
I got the Platinum for 5 when it was free with plus, and did the same with Surviving Mars by the same studio. Might give them my money for this one, enjoyed those 2.
I like the idea of city building games but in reality I play it for about half an hour, decide it's way too much information to take in and try and learn, and just give up. I don't have enough gaming time per day (maybe an hour) to bother using it for something as in depth as this, unfortunately.
