Hideo Kojima’s influence reaches far and wide, but we can’t say we expected Death Stranding to be aped in a Brazilian perfume commercial. That’s exactly what appears to have happened in this O Boticário ad, however, as the kaiju from one of the title’s trailers towers over an immaculately scented actor.
The similarities between the two scenes make this look like an homage at best and an outright rip-off at worst, but it just goes to show the kind of impact the PlayStation 4 exclusive is already having on popular culture. Maybe the Metal Gear maker will be sent a crate of the cosmetic for his troubles – he tends to get free gifts off everyone else.

This is almost as bad as that commercial for Hugo Big Boss
Well to be fair, most perfume ads are bizarre nonsense anyway, so it fits right in.
'Odors have a power of persuasion stronger than that of words, appearances, emotions, or will. The persuasive power of an odor cannot be fended off, it enters into us like breath into our lungs, it fills us up, imbues us totally. There is no remedy for it.'
The connections are real people!
Lmao wtf...
That actor is actually a bit famous in the US.
This is like Konami level stupid.
Remember the cologne ad where Johnny Depp is driving out to the desert, almost hits a buffalo, then just starts digging in a random spot?
These commercials are always weird.
Free advertising for Death Stranding disguised as a perfume commercial that how weird things can get
Smells fishy.
Maybe this was a leak and Death Stranding is actually one big perfume ad for "Eau de babee bot'l"
The only differences I see seem to cosmetic.
@Kidfried you dont want to smell like a beached whale????
