If you're looking to mesh city building with survival elements this holiday season, you might want to keep your eye on Frostpunk. It's coming to PS4 on 11th October, a suitable release date for a game that places so much emphasis on braving the freezing colds of winter.
The game received a warm welcome upon its PC launch in April 2018 thanks to an experience that combines resource management with a deep story, but you'll have to make sure you govern your city's laws correctly along the way. The strategy game is sure to interest those who are looking for something different amongst 2019's heavy hitters.
We wanted Frostpunk to feel like a native console experience, so we redesigned pretty much every game element to work intuitively with a gamepad. Among the new, console-specific UI changes we have an express menu for quick access to most common building actions, easy to use choice-wheels, top-down view for precise building placement, upscaled icons, and much more.
Frostpunk will be available digitally for $29.99 on the aforementioned date, while a physical edition will arrive a week later on the 18th in Europe and on the 22nd in the US - priced at $34.99/£29.99. Are you going to brave the cold this October? Take a coat with you in the comments below.

I will probably get this, but October is a busy month for new releases (as is the whole of Q4!) so it may have to wait until the new year for me.
Keep an eye out for Frostpunk's soundtrack. It is AMAZING.
R.I.P. Johnny your music lives on. "Tell the rambler

The back biter"
