I think this is going to be a game similar to World War Z. I don’t think this is Resident Evil 8. (Nice if it was though). This just sounds like a multiplayer game.

Definitely smells like a spinoff, which would normally be a worry, but Capcom's output has been great recently so happy to give them the benefit of the doubt for now!

My notification sound is "RESIDENT EVIL!" yet I'm ashamed to say I have only ever completed the Director's Cut and 2 (yet I've played all the others, bar RE2 Remake which I own, RE6 and RE Revelations 2 which I own). I need to find the time to get on it. I hope RE 8 is third person, though I found what I played of 7 in VR amazing.

I prefer third person but I loved RE 7 so I'm not opposed to first person either. I think it'll depend if they want to do VR again or not.

@Gamer83 yeah 3rd person is better for fans to see new costumes on characters to wear while playing. 3rd person is better for us to see enemies around character while standing, walking, running.. first person require to move camera view to see any enemies behind character you playing as

A Resident Evil co-op/multiplayer game

I'm not sure a better selection of enemies than 7 but the same atmosphere, more linking to the older resident evil games other than a Chris cameo.
I'd prefer 3rd person too, but I liked re7 too so not adverse to 1st
