Premier League football has finally made its long awaited return, and that’s about to eat into our weekends once more. The good news is that the video game release calendar is still relatively dry, so it’ll be backlogs all around before the heavy hitters arrive later in the month.

I imported a copy of SEGA's Tokyo 2020 title from Japan, and it's proving brilliant fun so far. I've missed the arcade sports games of yore, but this feels like a return to the Dreamcast days I'm so nostalgic for.

It's going to be a PlayStation Plus heavy weekend for me. I've still not made any more progress on Detroit: Become Human, so I'd really like to finally get around to that. However, Sniper Elite 4 is looking extremely tempting. Whether shooting Nazis through the eyes or exploring an android-fuelled future, there's plenty to be getting on with.

I read Push Square's DuckTales Remastered Demonstrates the Dangers of Digital with Delisting news article, and I felt regretful about neglecting my PS3 backlog. Life is like a hurricane, but I'm lucky to own DuckTales Remastered, so it's only fair to gamers who missed out on this game that I dedicate time to booting it up on Sunday.
A short and sweet week from us this time, but let's overload the comments with your gaming itineraries. What are you playing this weekend? You know the drill.

I SHOULD be playin the Bear With Me demo but life has a way of sucking up all my gaming time these past 2 months so we'll see. Also more Dragonquest 11.
Fire Emblem 3 Houses and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 for the Switch. Street Fighter V and Samurai Shodown for PS4.
Continue my adventure through Bloodstained Ritual of the Night. I have a ghostly companion that I named "Stabby" that helps me with the enemies.
That and I might also play CTR NF online to take advantage of the weekend wumpa coin bonus.
Aiming to defeat another Valkyrie in God of war and then either some the sinking city or Judgement. Possibly more Wolfenstein 2 😁
GTAO and RDR2 & RDO mostly.
Kiwami so far feels like an interesting soap opera, the gameplay however isn't still convincing. Sniper Elite 4 looks interesting with cute menus but I'm not done downloading yet. Downloading Detroit BH too but don't know if I'm still interested in walking sims like I used to.
Going to be a Kingdom Hearts weekend for me. Continuing my level 1 only beginner mode run of KH3, and started another proud mode run of the original KH last night.
I've found it difficult to pry myself away from Fire Emblem: Three Houses, although I'm also getting back into SMT: Digital Devil Saga on my PS2. At the end of the day, there are just too many good games and too little time with which to play them.
More Dragon Quest XI, more Red Dead Online and loads of footy. It's back baby!
Plenty more Danganronpa: Tigger Happy Havoc for me. Also tempted to start Witcher 3 this weekend.
I'm playing sniper elite 4 and resident evil 4. the number 4 is one of the best numbers.dogs be putting blunders.im elite but not a sniper.im a resident in new York but not evil.haha.word life.word to your mother.word is bond.word ☝ up son
@ApostateMage Footy is BACK!!! Also playing Dragon Quest XI (really enjoying it) and maybe a few sessions in Mortal Kombat and finally start Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2. The new game looks awesome.
Still on my travels so going to be playing more South Park: The Fractured But Whole on the Switch and then return to home gaming with some AC: Odyssey tomorrow. Also tempted by buying Blood and Truth for PSVR
Ps4
Assassins Creed Odyssey.
Dragon Quest Builders 2.
Horizon Chase Turbo.
Switch
Octopath Traveller.
The Legend Of Zelda Breath Of The Wild.
Have a good weekend all.
In between the football I’ll be doing more daily challenges on RDR2 online.
I’ve put FF XV back into the backlog and started Odyssey instead. Maybe get some more done on Persona 5 and Division 2 also. I need to check out that new area in Division.
I picked up Ace Combat 7 & a Thrustmaster Hotas 4 flightstick a few days ago, & have been dying to try it out this weekend!
Also some Fire Emblem & continue chipping away at Tales Of Vesperia: Definitive Edition.
My ps4 and tv finally online again. I’ve been playing hyper light drifter, after playing it on phone it feels like I’m cheating by playing this with dualshock 4 lol.
On pc I’m playing enter the gungeon, I got it free from epic games store, it’s pretty good and addicting game although I don’t think the game need to be rogue-like, I just want +- 50 randomized levels and the ability to save between floors like diablo series 😕.
I think nearly all free games given by epic games store is pretty good, it’s like ps3 / early ps4 psplus quality where we can get old but good / interesting games rather than now, where’s it seems like sony gave us random psplus games.
Gonna try to finish evil within and begin evil within 2.
Getting back to finishing off Resident Evil: Code Veronica X on PS2
Dropping the incredibly average Middle Earth:Shadow Of War and starting Horizon:Zero Dawn again instead on PS4
Gears 4 to get ready. FF7 replay (Cloud comatose atm) and some ball 'splodin in SE4
@TheArt not as much of a walking sim as you would think
@Rudy_Manchego do it!!
not sure, probably going to carry on my Dark Side play through of Knights of the Old Republic
it's SO much fun going the dark route in Star Wars games, it's nice to be a total ass in a game sometimes
i'm also thinking of doing a Renegade run in Mass Effect too
@Nyne11Tyme Hope so, because it just started getting quite tiring after Walking Dead Season 2.
Doom (Switch) - Got a crew together now for online so mostly this at night.
Minecraft: PlayStation Vita Edition - Starting on a new world with my son.
Microsoft Flight (Games For Windows) - Still working on a Let's Play.
Pokémon GO (Android) - This is really doing nothing for me...
Storm in a Teacup (Android) - Finally giving this a go.
@Nyne11Tyme On it!
Being working my way through sniper elite 4 campaign in coop when I get a chance, other than that some ctr wipout and blackout on the Alcatraz map
Sekiro. This game is killing me, but I'm slowly getting there.
Steep is also getting some play time. There seems to be a lot of other players knocking about on the slopes today.
I’ll be finally finishing off Days Gone, some Bloodstained Ritual of the Night, and a double whammy of Codemasters racing goodness in F1 2019 and DiRT Rally 2.
@ellsworth004 Enjoy EW2!
@TheArt Yeah, it’s not as “walking simey” as the Telltale games. Yes, it is walking, talking, choice making, and QTE’s, but it’s actually closer to something like Virtue’s Last Reward if you played that, minus the overt complex puzzles. There are so many different pathways your story can go.
As for me, I might get to play a little more Spider-Man. Maybe some Borderlands 2 DLC mixed in. I actually have a busy weekend and preseason NFL might be worth checking out as a quick distraction.
@Th3solution Well then you guys have given me enough reasons to speed up the download because I was a bit skeptical. I'd wanted to download Sniper Elite 4 fully first.
Stared borderlands recently, probably continue that or observer that I got also.
Fifa 19, as the Premier League is back and we lost 5-0 on the opening day. I am doing a career mode where I brought in our two big signings Haller and Fornals and am top at Christmas so let’s hope Tottenham don’t come back
The credits rolled in GTA5 so i'll move on to something else but still jump in to do side stuff from time to time.
Just finished Deadly Tower of Monsters and will spend some time with F76 and Everybody's Golf + The Inpatient on VR 😍
PS4 - Judgment
Switch - Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order
Fallout 4 and match of the day. Hopefully get time tomorrow to play a bit of red dead undead nightmare. Anyone who thinks RD2 has tank controls should go back and play the first one!!
Blood & Truth and Gems of War
GTA Online for PS3. Last week I think I said I was rank 60, well I'm rank 65 now so I've gotten 5 rank ups in a week. At that rate, it's going to take me about 7 more weeks to get to rank 100. Oh joy
I’ve been playing a lot of Tales of Vesperia today, it’s pretty simplistic but I am enjoying it. It does seem like there is a cutscene or skit (let’s call them Active Time Events shall we) every 3 seconds, which can get a bit annoying, but the characters are all pretty fun so far so it’s not a major complaint.
More Binding of Isaac and Doom 3 for me, might even fire up Destiny 2. Haven't touched it since the Gambit DLC dropped and I'm not sure I want to jump on that grind wagon again, we'll see.
Recently bought dying light and I'm really digging it. The upgrade system is superb. Story is interesting enough to keep playing.
Also PES2020 Demo which is just the perfect football game !
@BridgeToClarity Whaf can you say other than bad things about FF XV? Does it bave a good side?
Forager and Wargroove and Skull smash go!
@Hootnoodle The Valkyries make for some epic battles. There have been few experiences more satisfying in my gaming life than defeating Queen Sigrun. It feels like an insurmountable feat the first few times that you try.
@BridgeToClarity Just playing the demos put me right off FFXV. I thought the combat and camera were utter naff. If FFVII Remake has similar combat, I'm gonna limit break in disappointment.
Started playing that Subdivision Infinity Dx space game, enjoying it so far and wasn’t expensive either
Nearing the end of shadow of the tomb raider and will probably go back to donkey Kong tropical freeze after that...
@KratosMD I enjoyed Here They Lie, a bizarre, dark and twisted walking sim with survival horror elements is how I would describe it.
