How has it taken this long for the PlayStation 4 to get a Civilization game? Announced during State of Play and due out on 22nd November, the critically acclaimed Civilization VI will be available as a standalone game, while a $50 expansion bundle will include a bunch of add-on packs, including the Rise & Fall and Gathering Storm DLCs.
There’ll also be a handful of new Scenario Packs bundled in, while PS4 owners will get the Nubia Civilization & Scenario Pack and Khmer and Indonesia Civilization & Scenario Pack for free as a bonus. You can watch the announcement trailer above.

What an age we live in where it takes so long for this to come to the best selling system....a year after it goes elsewhere.
Makes ya wonder why
I loved the Civilization game on 360, I’ll definitely be checking this one out.
If this runs smoothly on the PS4 Pro (and the controls are no issue), then I’ll definitely pick this up!
I haven't had a good game of civ for ages. The week long game of the the Caeser, Abe Lincoln and Gandhi pact against my steadfast Queen Victoria with Bismark as my puppy dog. The war lasted 800 years. Bismark ditched me end game so I traded some silk with Gandhi as he had shot into the lead. Be my mate Gandhi we can rule the world! He decided to bomb me anyway after I accidentally had a tank in Caesars now tiny state. He kept those a secret I had knights and wooden ships. He had Marines and F-15s.
Saw this reported on another site as Civ 4 and thought it was a bit weird. So glad Sammy how to read roman numerals properly....
There is really no reason to have this on a regular console like this. I'm not just fanboying about the Switch. If I am going to be chained to a TV, I would rather just play the PC version with all the amazing mod support. Civ 6 runs well even on my 6 year old PC. Heck, it runs well on Nintendo Switch! It's not that demanding of a game!
So it's cool for people who have a PS4 but no PC or Switch, but otherwise I don't see much point.
@Heavyarms55 didnt u just kinda give the point. Not everyone has a pc or a switch...
