Matriarch Celeste is up there with the most difficult fights in the game. You'll need to be well levelled with a good build that includes upgraded armour and weapons in order to take her down across the two phases that this fight spans. Equipped with a staff, she'll float about the arena making huge lunges at you that deal a devastating amount of damage, but this is also your chance to strike.

Dodge out of the way of her swipes and she'll leave herself open to a few strikes as you dash back in. Beware of the follow-up attack, however - a strike into the ground that deals aoe damage - because it can slice your health bar in half in no time at all. She will sometimes throw her staff at you if you're far away which can be a bit of a pain, but it's easily dodged.

It's the second phase you really need to worry about. Sprouting mechanical arms out of her spine, she resembles Doctor Octopus and is just as lethal. Her attacks become a lot more chaotic and unpredictable in the second half of the fight as she aggressively swipes at you. You'll also need to take into account the four electrified pathways along the ground because stepping on them deals damage and slows your movement speed to a crawl.

In order to beat her, shoot her in the head with your drone to stagger her and then quickly dash in to deal some damage yourself. And once again, make sure to dodge each and every one of her attacks when they can be telegraphed.
