Marvel's Iron Man VR (PS4)
Sony and Marvel Games has restored its relationship to bring Iron Man VR to PSVR – a title with potential even taller than Stark Tower, we’re sure you’ll agree. Republique developer Camouflaj has been beavering away on this one for two years, and is promising the ultimate superhero experience – created exclusively in virtual reality.

Paper Beast
Paper Beast is the new game from the creator of Another World, and it certainly shares that title's mysterious nature. This PSVR adventure is all about interacting with numerous papercraft animals in a surreal, dream-like environment. Quite how it all plays out is yet to be seen, but we're certainly intrigued by this unusual experience.
Space Channel 5 VR: Kinda Funky News Flash
Space Channel 5 is making a triumphant return on PSVR. This version of the game looks to be pretty faithful to the Dreamcast original; you'll be throwing shapes to some funky beats in order to thwart the alien threat. We're fairly sure this is due for release in 2019 -- hopefully it won't be too much longer before we're dancing away with Ulala once more.
Star Child (PS4)
There aren’t many – are there even any? – Metroidvanias on PSVR, so we’re eagerly awaiting Star Child to come along and occupy the gaping void. Titles like Astro Bot Rescue Mission have proven that not all virtual reality games need to be first-person experiences, and so this narrative-driven side-scroller is looking like a unique sci-fi adventure that should offer something different on Sony’s headset.
The Curious Tale of the Stolen Pets
This adorable PSVR game has you poking around a virtual reality diorama as you try to solve various puzzles. There's not a whole lot of information out there for this game, but it's packing plenty of charm and looks like a great family-friendly experience. It's down for release in 2019, but there's no firm date yet.
Which upcoming PSVR games are you most looking forward to in 2019? Did we miss any virtual reality releases from our list? Enter a different dimension in the comments section below.

I can't wait for Tetris Effect.
Danny Dyer?
Ghost Giant,Star Child and Vacation Simulator are ones I'm excited for.Interested in Blood and Truth too plus a few others.Looks like VR gaming is still going strong!
But no mention of that Robot Rescue game? That is one game I WILL be buying day one.
@Wazeddie22 Bloody hell how could we miss that? Adding it now, thank you!
@get2sammyb Dreams will now support VR at launch.
I'm interested in quite a few of these, but Tetris Effect and Astro Bot are at the top of my list.
@Fight_Teza_Fight Whoops, also updated that. Thanks!
Seriously most these games interest me to be fair. Definitely getting Dreams, Astro Bot, Tetris and maybe another couple day one.
Will probably pick up most the others too depending on reviews and price. Looking forward to Star Child ever since I tried the demo. Blood and Truth, Vacation Simulator, that Ghost Hand game, Transference, Beat Saber... Omg so many. 😀
Also, I love that you guys are doing posts like this. Keeps VR in mind. And reminds me how well PSVR is doing in terms of content.
Have to say, this is one really good looking list of games. Quite a few of these have some serious potential.
Don’t forget about Seeking Dawn.
What about Firewall Zero Hour?
Tetris Effect! We'll get Robot Rescue for sure too. That's my son's very favorite little game in VR hands down.
I always wanted to play ZOE when it came out, but I was completely broke at the time. Now that I'm an adult and I have a PSVR/money, I have 2nd Runner Mars preordered on Amazon so I'm pretty excited.
Ya know, I'm glad I took the jump into PSVR. There are a good number of games here that I'm looking forward to playing.
I've been waiting for a decent VR game for a very long time. VR goggles that I have bought for a year and a half are unused.
couple with potential there but i bought a psvr for ace combat 7.........still waiting!
So many good games.
Pixel Ripped 1989 is one I want!
@get2sammyb TL:DR; is Tetris Effect only going to utilise the PSVR? Is there going to be a standard TV mode where it can be played? I love a good Tetris game and Tetris Effect looks phenomenal, but I don't have a PSVR.
@Turismo4GT Yeah, you don't need PSVR.
@get2sammyb awesome, cheers.
I've started playing The Persistence and it's so good! Easily one of my favourite psvr games.
@LieutenantFatman Yeah it’s fun!
Updated!
Oh yeah I keep forgetting PSVR exists!
Still not to many I want here, Astro Bot, but waiting to hear if they kept in the couch co-op of the original, and Dreams, but not b/c of VR.
I still feel like VR is missing out on fun light gun games like Jurassic Park and Deadstorm Pirates. I just want to have fun shooting colorful things. They could at least port "The Shoot" and "Time Crisis:Razing Storm". Or any of the "House of the Dead" games.
Heck make something fun like Crazy Taxi VR.
@get2sammyb Starbear: Taxi is supposed to be coming to PSVR later this year. You can probably drop these guys an email and ask for a release date, they'd probably love the exposure of a PS article.
http://funktroniclabs.com/starbear
@rjejr I've been saying the same thing. Namco could make some cracking VR games, keep the same aesthetics and bang out some Time Crisis and Point Blank games.
Speaking of Crazy Taxi VR, is development on The Modern Zombie Taxi Company ever going to get going again? There were rumours of Japan Studio taking over, but it's been dark for over a year now.
After Tetris Effect, I most intrigued by Transference and Deracine. I love PSVR, but don't spend enough time in it to truly get VR legs. Weirdly though, I get less kituon sick ess with Thumper in VR than I do with standard Thumper.
Going to have to have a bake sale to make some money because I sure like all these games. Going to cost me a few bucks.
Is Bow to Blood multiplayer only, or is there single player content too?
Dreams beta when!?!??!
we shall see if blood and truth comes out in 2019, if it does i will eat my PSVR.
@Octane don't get too excited, PSVR support will not be in the beta last time i heard, 0 interest after that.
@huyi Very true. That comment was just part of my daily Dreams beta rant, don't worry about it.
ah ok then lol
@SoulChimera not only namco, sega too, the only thing sega has planned is space channel 5 for PSVR, they have ignored all other franchises that could come to PSVR and it's frustrating.
Looking forward to a few of these such as Blood and Truth, Dreams which looks phenomenal, Vacation Simulator too I just hope they improve the tracking from Job Simulator which is surprisingly ropey compared to recent titles. A Fisherman's Tale looks interesting too and I didn't even know about Wolfenstein until now. There's still a few VR games I need to catch up with such as Moss and The Persistence and Polybius, maybe even Pixel Ripped so with only Resident Evil 2 on the horizon for traditional games I could be getting quite a bit of use out of my headset
Blood & truth, falcon age, vacation simulator and dreams....
It seems I'll use psvr a lot more next year
The only games that VR is suitable for are racing/flying/diving games where player sit in a cockpit. Thus today there're only 2 fully-fledged PV games: DriveClub and Dirt Rally. Hope PS5 will make it possible to play GTSport in VR fully-fledged too.
Don't forget minotaur arcade VOL 1 from llamasoft. It includes goat up and gridrunner and will be about £6 for the pair. It's from the same creator as polybius and tempest 4000 so should be good old fashioned fun with brain melting vr action.
PC out 21st of December so ps4 won't be far away.
Is the everybody's golf one an update to the one that's out now, or is it a brand new title in the series? Can't wait for that one and Dreams though, and interested in the ace combat 7 one.
@OptiMystik you've never actually used a PSVR have you...
What’s going on with Blood and Truth? Seems to have disappeared with no news announced at all?
@Wazeddie22 robot rescue? what is that like? i will have to look that one up.
ah, nevermind, old post still interesting though, never heard of that one, any new release dates for upcoming games?
@huyi That's the trouble when old articles suddenly appear in the Latest News!
But to answer your question I actually meant Astrobot when I posted that which is by far my favourite VR game so far.An excellent platformer/Adventure which everybody needs to play if you have VR!
I GOT PSVR YESTERDAAAAAAYYYYYY!!!!!!!! OMGGGGGGGGGG. I got the moss, astro bot rescue mission bundle!!!! Moss is so incredibly cute and such a delight 😀 havent tried the other yet.
Bought a bunch of other games in the holiday psn sale while i have the chance. Playing skyrim in vr is just crazy!! And my good god wipeout (with all options set to its FULL motion sickening glory) is the most exilerating thing ive ever experienced!!!
having got that out of the way, im looking forward to more horror games and more full fledged games like fighters or 3rd person adventure games etc.
@Wazeddie22 yeah i can see he meant astro bot now the name difference up to then and now makes it confusing.
@get2sammyb that and ace combat 7
Updated
Goat up and gridrunner?
Cant wait for ghost giant! Also does anyone have a used aim gun controller for sale? They are soooo expensive here in canada, and kind of hard to find
Hope there's someone just sitting there waiting for No Man's Sky VR. I know I can't wait. Revamped and new cockpits for ships and Exocraft, additional visual and/or physical features, and more we haven't heard of yet. It's gonna be fun!
Kinda expecting Deemo to be here.
I feel like we need a few new VR game announcements. It's getting a little quieter recently.
Need more quality sports games that have head to head online play. I’ve been clamoring for a VR Sports Champions for a while. Everybody’s Golf is great, 2MD VR Football is fantastic, someone needs to step up and make more sports titles happen.
PSVR was really gaining momentum last year but things have been very quiet in 2019, i'm hoping we get a lot of new announcements soon, Ironman is the only game i'm excited about in this list.
