We hardly ever hear about Battlefield V anymore, but developer DICE has been keeping it ticking along in the background. The fifth chapter of new content coming to EA's World War 2 shooter is set to take place in the Pacific, adding three new maps, new weapons, and more. A brief teaser has been released, which you can see below:
As mentioned in the tweet, a full reveal trailer will land tomorrow. We imagine that this update will arrive soon after, but presumably we'll get a proper release date. Are you still playing Battlefield V on PlayStation 4? Are you excited for the Pacific update? Rush into the comments below.

Still playing every once in a while but player base is definitely down from where it used to be
you have to wonder what on earth DICE is up to, because the whole chapter content thing doesn't seem to have delivered anywhere near the same amount of content as the old expansion packs used to. though i suppose it's free v £10 a pack. after a year, BF4 had 30+ maps available, but i recently tried this at a mate's house and it only had 13 maps after almost a year.. they've altered between Battlefield and Battlefront for the past 4 years, but there's no shooter this year.. wonder if they're pumping most of their resources and going all in for modern (ish) warfare next year on new consoles?.
@leucocyte I totally agree with you. I'd be more than willing to pay money for extra maps but the content just isn't there. My bet is they're working on a PS5 launch title set in a modern era.
BF4 did exceptionally well despite being a technical mess at launch, solely because it was a launch title and it was really the only decent shooter out there for well over a year.
Looks good Battlefield 1943 was the most fun one ive played i hope it's along the same style for a download game it was so much fun.
Feeling not particularly excited about the upcoming maps, enjoyed the new underground map though. Who knows?
Unfortunately the BF Franchise has become soulless and politically laden. I stay clear.
@Scollurio they actually heavily backtracked since the launch trailer debacle and The Call of Duty franchise is much more political than Battlefield. The Devs definitely heard the negativity around launch and I commend them for listening.
@Oriion Yeah I followed all of that to a point - then just lost interest and never looked back. Been a fan since Battlefield 1942 (the very first one). Too bad what happened (to gaming in general).
