We enjoy a good game of Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, but it's been sorely missing skill-based matchmaking since it launched back in the summer. If you've hopped online at all over the last few months, you'll no doubt have noticed that races can be incredibly unbalanced, with some players crossing the finish line before others have even made it to their final lap. Until now, there's been no system in place to ensure that players are being paired up with opponents of a similar skill level.
We say 'until now' because developer Beenox has supposedly implemented skill-based matchmaking this week. "Heads up CTR fans – we’ve been testing skill-based matchmaking in CTR Nitro-Fueled and rolled it out this week for online play. Dive in and let us know how you think it’s going!" the studio writes on Twitter.

About time. Maybe I'll be able to get a decent amount of Wumpa Coins now.
Nearly 5 months later. Better late than never i guess.
Now i can pick this up on Black Friday Sale
Now only some decent servers cause they are a **** joke, Activision's greed defiles everything it's a part of.
Hmmm, is this why I've been having my ass handed to me online this week? I just assumed it was because all the really good players came back for the new event...
Good to hear. On a similarish note, is there a way to reduce lobby waiting times? Lobby times are at least a minute, in something like COD where matches are about 7 minutes long and you have lots of customization to do, that feels fine. However in CTR when matches are about 3 minutes max, it feels like a lot of the game is spent waiting around doing nothing.
It's honestly my biggest greivance with CTR's online (granted I haven't played much of it).
I still suck at this game. I 100% the original TWICE, but I can barely win a match in this one.
Can they please ease the difficulty down on normal please. Easy is too easy and normal is hard. This turned my partner off playing this game with me.
