It looks like PlayStation 4 owners are comfortable subscribing to different services: PlayStation Plus has attracted record members, PlayStation Now has grown significantly since its price drop, and now EA has confirmed that EA Access has increased from 3.5 million to 5 million users since launching on the Sony’s current-gen console.
In fact, according to the behemoth publisher, adoption of the service has been quicker on the PS4 than it was on the Xbox One – although it’s perhaps worth mentioning that the slate of software offered as part of the EA Access Vault is much better now than it was five years ago. If you want proof of that, you can view all free EA Access games on PS4 through the link.

I guess that's good news. I still don't like the practice of this ea access stuff. Maybe im just missing something.
Helps when there's probably more than double the number of PS4s
@mclarenrob2 probably even triple with rumours of the xbox one selling poorly this whole gen and the switch already having overtaken its sales. But like I said, rumours.
Garbage subscription service with garbage games.
But why would anybody sign up for anything that Sony said wasn't a good value? 😝

Be nice if the new Star Wars game was on it day 1, but they don't do that like Game Pass.
@JayDub Completely disagree. For 20 bucks a year you get like 38 games to play and many of them are really decent. I did have many games already tho, but I gladly took the sport games and BFV + The way out paid off alone.
EA can kiss my rear. They aren't getting a dime out of me for this.
5 million subscribers? This is why EA never actually improves or changes anything. They don't have to.
Does EA offer ps4 owners something extra since they don't get any of the backward compatible last gen games xbox does? It's the same price...
I want to try it for one month if jedi fallen order is in the subs.
Not surprising take up was quicker on ps4 given that xbox users have a fantastic game pass list compared to the truly appalling ps plus offerings.
Not only was EA access somewhat lacking at launch, things like this were very new for consoles and its taking a while for things like this to be consider more acceptable.
Personally I have no interest in EA Access - I buy the games I want and EA at most make 1-2 games a year I want so its not advantageous for me
It's kinda obvious why. Far more games now than five years ago... and a much larger Install base. Not sure, with those things in mind, that this is as impressive as EA wants it to sound.
