Microsoft just hosted its X019 fan bonanza in London, where it made a variety of announcements pertaining to the Xbox platform. Among the info drop was confirmation that the DualShock 4 will be supported by the company’s cloud-streaming solution Project XCloud, although the news was met by boos and jeers from the Xbox faithfuls in attendance.
Obviously, the event was filled out by hardcore followers of the Team in Green, and the catcalling generally seemed to be quite jokey. It was an awkward moment in a segment that also included a huge teleprompter hiccup, though, causing the hosts to backtrack in order to ensure they shared all of the most pertinent details.

Was expecting a bigger reaction, based on the article. More of a "President Trump at a World Series game" moment. This was more like one or two guys in the crowd booing.
It was hardly 'boos and jeers'. It sounded more like they didn't know quite how to react about hearing that a DS4, with its Blutooth connectivity, can be used to play Xbox games on the go. I agree it wasn't exactly met with universal cheers and clapping (although more than enough to drown out any 'boo')- almost a low rumbling of disbelief that Sony got a mention and that their controller can be used...
I would have preferred to call the show Game Pass Con.

I was more surprised on the no studios buyouts announcements. Overall was an okay show, Sony really needs to step up on PS Now, it's a shame that almost the entire Final Fantasy franchise will be on Game Pass before than the service on the console that made the series so popular.

@AdamNovice All good, I had to look him up myself. To be honest I was intrigued by the new Rare game, so it wasn't all bad, looking forward to seeing more of Halo Infinity as well.
So not quite nintendo fan level smashing a PS4 because of a games likeness to breath of the wild then. 🙂

I mean, the very event here was to help ring in the fact they're going 3rd party. Being able to connect to a competitors controller should have been an obvious development.
Oh well, further showing that Xbox fans are as bad as, if not worse than, R* fans.

As an Xbox owner I had relatively high (but realistic) hopes. Unfortunately, MS missed the mark again. I'll admit on the service front I think it's set up nicely but the Xbox as a console is becoming less and less relevant. I see myself getting a PS5, an updated Switch if Nintendo releases one and then just building a gaming PC and using that for the rare MS exclusive that looks worth a damn. But, man, as somebody who prefers single player over multiplayer what was shown from some of the studios MS purchased, it's not impressive.
