Insomniac Games is owned by PlayStation now, but the Burbank-based developer still has unfinished business with partner Oculus to conclude. Stormland – it’s last ever non-Sony published project – is gaining rave reviews, attaining an average score of 83 on aggregate website Metacritic.
While much of the excitement surrounding the Ratchet & Clank maker’s acquisition has revolved around its big budget console games like Marvel’s Spider-Man, it’s perhaps worth noting that the studio has plenty of pedigree in the virtual reality space, too.
This could end up a huge coup for PlayStation VR and its inevitable PlayStation 5 successor.

Stormland on PS5VR would be PHENOMENAL!
But we need wireless. Oculus Quest is killing it. Rightfully so.
Number 5 is alive!
What system(s) is Stormland on then?
@ApostateMage Hey, laser lips. Your momma was a snowblower!
I bet this will hit PS5 in some point. Sony really did a smart move buying Insomniac: high quality AAA bangers and high quality VR bangers on a same studio.
An 83 on Metacritic, so I think you meant to say it is a game that is very divisive.
Ok, NOW I'm done.
But in all seriousness, that's a great score for a VR title. Congrats to Insomniac once again.
Spiderman was goty over god of war for me
@Kienda "what if you don't catch it? What if it goes out and melts down a bus of nuns?! How would you like to write the headline on that one?!
....... Nun soup?"
