Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's 1.10 patch can now be downloaded on PlayStation 4, which means Season One has begun. It's an update weighing in at just under 16GB, so you're going to have to set aside a significant amount of time for downloading and copying before you can hop on and start playing.
Season One is bringing with it a ton of new, free content but not all of it is available right now. Out of the three classic maps being brought back from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, just Crash can be played on at the time of writing. Joining it are two new Gunfight maps, another battlefield to play Ground War on, and two weapons that can be unlocked for free as part of the Battle Pass. Two more Spec Ops experiences can also be played now, while the Reinforce mode is also added to the game today.
We'll have to wait a little longer to get our hands on Vacant and Shipment, with Infinity Ward said to be rolling out more content in the coming weeks before Season One finishes on 28th January 2020. The game's first Battle Pass is now also available for purchase for 1000 COD points, which works out at roughly £8/$9. That's the standard price for this type of content, as set by the likes of Fortnite.

Wait so...the update is free but the pass is for what? Skins?
@AFCC Yes, cosmetic items for characters and guns.
@LiamCroft I'm not a fan of microtransactions, but I can't take umbrage with cosmetic items. At least its not affecting the gameplay outside of aesthetics. I can live with that.
@LiamCroft fair enough! Seems like it's a fair system
