It turns out the rumours were true; Project Cars dev Slightly Mad Studios is working on a game based on the Fast & Furious movie franchise. Named Fast & Furious Crossroads, it looks about as you'd expect in its debut trailer; full of powerslides, explosions, and Vin Diesel.
It looks as though it'll be a blend of arcade racing and narrative moments featuring characters from the films. A press release also hints at a multiplayer mode that's yet to be revealed. It's set to launch alongside the theatrical release of the next movie in May 2020.

Fantastic PS2 visuals and animations
This movie franchise doesn't make sense anymore.
"it looks about as you'd expect in its debut trailer"
If you were expecting a PS3 game to release in 2020.
Here's my tweet from last night.
I want to like that Fast & Furios game, but it looks like it's a couple of years away from being a good looking PS3 game. Maybe when the Jason Statham DLC comes out. (full disclosure - I own the F&F blu-ray box set)
The one where Vin Diesel looks worse than Escape from Butcher Bay....
I couldn't care less about graphics in a racing game if they gameplay is fun. I thought the trailer looked fine, and knowing slightly mad is working on it makes me more confident it will turn out as a fun racer.
Should be open world all about customizing your car and challenging others to street races.
I dont understand. There is the new age Need For Speed game-series, in which the worst part is the fact that it tries way too hard to be "Fast And Furious". Why did they even think that people wanted a FaF game?
It looked horrible. Rodriguez claiming to game lol playing 'TEAkken' and Street Fighter....had me in stitches about as much as the presenter for whatever award Gris won. I commend her attempt but wowsa was that some butchered english
It's just a game to pop up when the movie shows up in cinema a movie that from what I have heard Paul Walker is going to be in (RIP). They ended his character driving off at the end of 7 and it was a nice touch but to bring him back somehow unless it's a conversation or maybe memories then fine. The series started off perfectly with the street racing scene neons etc but the 2nd one just hit a curveball and went way out of the park for what the franchise says it is.
After that I think 1 and 5 with the bank robbery was the only 2 I liked of the whole films. The rest all boring and predictable and Jason Statham just plays the same bloody character with a different name, when he came in I was like wow The Transporter has crossed over in to FnF but wasn't he driving a sub in the cheesy movie The Meg
@AbsurdShark you do know how much money the films make, right? I'm sure it'll sell quite well.
