Did you have a good Christmas Day? Spare a thought for the Sony engineers who’ve spent the majority of their Xmas keeping the PlayStation Network’s servers online. Historically unstable, it’s fair to say that PSN is much more reliable these days, and while it’s not without its hiccups – well, it’s been a fairly flawless 25th December so far.
There have been some isolated reports throughout the day, but generally it seems like PSN has got through Christmas Day relatively unscathed. That’s great news for all of us, as it means your gaming time was probably only interrupted by your Gran wanting to watch the Queen’s speech. What have you been playing today? Smooth as silk. Just failed getting the plat for Detroit: Become Human this minute.
Plan to continue playing death stranding and still waiting for ff7 remake demo, I hope the demo will be released before new year 😃
Yeah, no problems here.
I have watched SO MANY FILMS TODAY.
Hadn't had any issues the past few christmases. Glad other gamers are online too.
My brother got to try PSVR and loved it so I’m relieved. Played the first few levels of Astro Bot and then spent half an hour peering inside Hadvar’s face in Skyrim VR. He’s probably going to get the Move controllers with Christmas money so that’ll open up Beat Sabre but I’m torn whether to just get the PS4 version or try to get Trinus to work so I can get custom songs in the PC version.
Yes, it’s nice nice. Nothing worse than when I got Destiny for Christmas and PSN was down.
Speaking of PSN... Get Titanfall 2 while it’s still free! If you think first person shooters are stale, try Titanfall 2! I’m not even a FPS fan, haven’t played one since Black Ops back in 2010 and I still Titanfall 2!
I had no problems at all.
Which was nice because I got a chance to spend my $75 on the PlayStation Store during the holiday sale.
Merry Christmas indeed.
I was having terrible problems with PSN and the store.
Then I realized my Pro just sucks at 5G, which is really weird.
I have several other 5G devices and they all work great with no problems.
Downgraded my PS4 Pro to 2G and now it connects and transfers faster.
Anyone else have 5G problems with Pro? Maybe an update broke something?
I rode my horse through the eerily silent, chilly snow covered bayou in Red Dead Online without any hiccups.
For once I wished Xbox Live was down over Christmas because imagine your kid spending over £100 of Xbox gift cards on just Fortnite skin packs and V-Bucks when there’s a massive sale on for over 700 games 🤦🏻♂️
I’ve either played or own every game that I’m interested in but still it makes me sick that my kid would rather give Epic over £100 of his money than buy an actual game in a sale.
No problems for me, although i was playing death stranding, trying to finish that over xmas,currently on chapter 6, still a bit to do, but loving it so far story is really good. And have a massive backlog of games to get through think i have around 10 games to either go back and finish or start, hopefully finish DS and one other of xmas if im lucky. Happy holidays everyone, keep on, keeping on
@MaccaMUFC If you wanna control what your kid plays, don't give them vouchers.
@JohnnyShoulder He got given the gift vouchers from family and friends, trust me I tried preventing him from buying anything on Fortnite as I think it’s a complete waste of money especially when buying skin packs in bulks when he’s probably only going to have a favourite and stick to that one. But the more I went on about it the more me and my wife were arguing, with her saying it’s his choice and his money and with her wearing the trousers in our relationship I had to just shut up and accept it 🤷🏻♂️
@MaccaMUFC Unfortunately you’ve got to let your children make these mistakes in a controlled environment in order for them to learn the value of money.
@MaccaMUFC
As long as kids are happy its all good in the end. Mine was about Sims4 dlcs and Roblox
@MaccaMUFC Fair enough, it's tricky to get the right balance with these things. Still, it blows my mind kids can blow that amount of money on something like skins for a video game. When I was a kid it was Pannini football stickers, but never to that extent.
@JJ2 To a degree, and I'm not saying it is the case here or with your kids, but kids need to learn that can't have it their own way all of the time just to make them happy.
maybe the sad sacks who try to hack it every year finally gave up and got a life?
@Akurusu TF2 is seriously underestimated as a game heck even onlines Frontia Defence mode is fun with randoms I always play it just for the fun if it, you can still get your backside handed to you even in this mode if you don't plan or occasionally have the right team
@JohnnyShoulder
Not 'all the time'. Its Christmas haha
🎄🎄🎄🎄
@JohnnyShoulder lol I never had £100 to spend on stickers and my mum wouldn’t have let me do it even if I did. I probably could have done if I had the chance, though.
After a couple of months in the fridge, yesterday I reopened psvr for Moss.
Beautiful,enjoyable,fairy tale game for one-two sittings. I already miss its world..
@kyleforrester87 Never did I, that was my point. I was just using stickers as an example of something I was into and could be easily obtained back then. My parents probably would never had given it to me all at once. I have no idea what I would have done with that kind of money. Spend it all on Pick n Mix sweets? 😂
I had no issues. The losers that do Ddos attacks are pathetic
@LemonHaze what chapter are you on? I didnt mind the story but it did run on long.
