One aspect of Dreams that's incredibly impressive but also hard to convey is how diverse the things you make can be. Media Molecule's PlayStation 4 exclusive game about creation has such a flexible engine that you'll easily be able to find a ridiculously wide range of visual styles. You can swing all the way from photo-realistic plates of food all the way to highly stylised, PSone-esque curios. One example of the latter can be seen in the video above, and it's well worth a watch.
Bearly Regal, a Dreams user who previously brought us recreations of Metal Gear Solid and Death Stranding, has turned his hand to Cyberpunk 2077. Cleverly calling it Cyberpunk 1997, he's attempted to "demake" CD Projekt Red's upcoming sci-fi RPG into a polygonal action game from the past. We'd say he's totally on the money; we love the DOOM-style FPS presentation for interiors, and then the swap to a Grand Theft Auto bird's eye view when on the streets. It's insanely clever.
We also like that the video he's made for the creation plays out like a modern gameplay trailer, with a voiceover explaining all the mechanics. It looks like an authentic PSone game, and one that would've been rather popular back in the day.
What do you think of this Cyberpunk demake? Dream up some comments below.

Quick, someone do a Game Boy cartridge before it becomes mainstream.
Feeling the OG Doom vibe
This is incredible.
cool stuff, put a grin on my face.
Those lighting and shading effects wouldn't be in a ps1 game
Looks cool, but it reminds me more of a Minecraft graphic style. To be truly PS1, it needs some pop-in, fog, texture warping and visible polygon seams.
@Turismo4GT The true masters such as Team Silent used the technical limitations of the PS1 to create atmosphere and tension. Or, I guess, the Superman 64 team did try to explain it away with their ‘Kryptonite fog’/ horrible green mist that made the game nigh on impossible.
I so want to be good at dreams but it takes too much time to make anything decent, whenever i see these articles always think i might pop it on again, probably will once the game releases in feb for the campaing so might give the creation another go.
Good to see people getting to grips with Dreams.
The variety of games being made with the tools this title provides is just mind blowing. You're gonna get your money's worth, that's for sure.
This is ace and so is the commentary reminiscent of the Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay vids.
Impressive work as always, looks like a really nice level of polish.
When I see a playstation original game box with a "new game", it still makes me feel like almost 20 years ago: "New GAME. MUAHAHAHA".
And loved the gta POV. oh, the memories...
