Focus Home Interactive has become a major publisher in the AA space over the past couple of years, helping the likes of Call of Cthulhu, The Surge, and the fantastic A Plague Tale: Innocence reach the PlayStation 4 market. And it is set to continue that initiative in 2020 with Othercide, a tactical turn-based RPG from developer Lightbulb Crew. The game will launch on PS4 in the summer, and you can get a taste of what's to come in the announcement trailer above.
Othercide was revealed for PC a while back, so we actually already have a decent idea of what the title is all about. The official website describes it as "a horror-themed turn-based strategy game where the lore and game mechanics are tightly intertwined to deliver a twisted, dark and challenging experience." Roguelite mechanics and permadeath will test your abilities to the maximum while levelling up will unlock new skills -- you can even sacrifice units to heal others.
This certainly sounds like a neat experience for the quiet summer months, but does it take your fancy? Leave your favourite poster to the slaughter in the comments below.

Interesting art style. I’ll keep an eye on it.
Very interested in this..Original style and a nice genre...Here's hoping for a good story and mechanics! ^^
This looks amazing, but I’m a bit put off by Roguelite. I don’t dislike the genre, it just takes a special game like Hollow Knight or Dead Cells to pull me in. I’ll be keeping an eye on it though.
WOW!, that looks fantastic!.
This looks really cool! Giving me Parasite Eve vibes, with the turn-based tactical horror action. Exciting!
@Odium I agree, stuff like Rad lack something special that make Dead Cells a step up from the competition (not played Hollow Knight).
@JohnnyShoulder I just realized I might be wrong, Hollow Knight is a Metroidvanian style game, not a Roguelite. Either way, it’s a great game.
@Odium You could be right, Dead Cells was a mix of both styles. Next time I get the itch I will try Hollow Knight as I've heard mostly good things about it.
