It’s been a hellish weekend for weather, so why would you ever want to go outside? Fortunately, a day indoors means an afternoon in front of the PlayStation 4, so what are you playing this weekend? Here’s what we’ve got in store.

I have a list of mini reviews to complete as long as my left leg, but I’m not going to let that get in the way of my Two Point Hospital addiction.
Robert Ramsey, Deputy Editor
I've been replaying God of War and I've been enjoying it immensely. This is the third time I've been through Kratos' Norse rampage, and I think I actually like it now more than ever.
Stephen Tailby, Associate Editor
I'll be dipping in and out of Dreams, of course, but I have one or two other games that require my attention this weekend. First and foremost is Overpass, an extreme off-road racing game from Focus Home Interactive. Look forward to a review in the near future.
Liam Croft, Senior Staff Writer
As we enter another quieter section of the release schedule, I've turned to playing some games I didn't quite put enough time into when they came out. PREY is the first one on the agenda, which I have been enjoying and look forward to playing more of over the weekend. I also really need to get back to Dreams and finish up the Art's Dream campaign.

This weekend I need something that’s not too taxing, which is exactly why I’m jumping back into The Sims 4 to get the Platinum. This does probably mean I’ll be up until 4AM every night, but that’s what weekends are for, right?
Simon Fitzgerald, Contributor
I underestimated the amount of time required to finish off Assassin's Creed Odyssey last weekend and so once again I will be diving into the spartan world to skewer my enemies. I may also squeeze in a few rounds of Apex now the original map has returned.
What are you playing this weekend? Do you have anything specific lined up, or are you planning to just see what takes your fancy? Let us know in the comments section below.

Played a little bit of Metro Exodus earlier, some really fun story telling in there.
Might play some more of Dreams later, despite the shortness of Art's Dream, it's still taking me a few sessions to get through it, loving it.
Just reached Edge Knot City in DS. Stopped for the football with the alarm going off in the safe room.
Not sure what I’m going to play on slim later. Having finally finished AC Odyssey I’m thinking something quick so will probably be one of Firewatch, Resi 0 (curse you sale) or Concrete Genie.
Days Gone and Dreams, played a sonic game briefly this morning but I'm more into the Dreamscaping, well learning anyway. Have a good weekend everyone!
My time is currently divided between levelling up bard in Final Fantasy XIV (level 70 so far), slowly making my way through the incredibly fun Darksiders Genesis, and trying to learn Dreams. There aren't enough hours in the day but I'm enjoying it all.
I only just got around to Shadow of Mordor, and have realised this is a great game I missed out on. Usefully, the season pass was also on sale. Not sure why I ignored it for years... So that, and some C64 games.
I'll be bringing justice to the Commonwealth as The Silver Shroud.
I’ll mostly be playing Bravely Second, mostly.
Finally finished playing spider-man dlc story, some of the side mission is fun, I like magia/hammerhead crimes mission (chasing criminal car in the street), I really like crime scene recordings side mission, screwball mission suck, I hate hate hate olympus hideout mission, it's just wave after wave after wave of enemies, it isn't fun. I hope if insomniacs make dlc for spider-man 2, it focus more on the story and not on side mission.
What insomniacs did to hammerhead is cool though.
Jumping into The outer worlds this weekend. Starting it on supernova difficulty probably wasn't the best idea tho. 😂
NieR: Automata for me this week.
It has some faults and I'm in two minds on it's way of storytelling (Not to mention it has unique views on what constitues as an "end") so far...
But I think it's nearly time for me to peek behind the curtain and see what's really going on in this game of Androids and Machines...
I love everything else about it though. Good combat and a lovely dyanmic soundtrack
splitting my time between Yakuza 3 and Spider-Man
After getting the Dragon's Dogma platinum a few days ago I've spent my morning doing runs of Bitterblack while I pondered what to play next, decided on Resonance of Fate 4K Remaster. I got the 1000GS years ago on 360 so I know what I'm getting into but it's still a daunting prospect (looking at you Battle Arena). Game is stupid hard but also a lot of fun when it all clicks.
Will be playing through the Arcadia level in Bioshock!
Wave Race 64 (N64) - Finally going to beat Championship mode for the first time.
Turtle's Quest (Windows Store) - You can tell this is a game made by children.
Briquid Mini (Windows Phone) - So close to the end...
Watch dogs 2.devil may cry 3 dantes awakening.and bully.word up son
Finally get some gaming time this weekend. Going to carry on the Witcher 3 B&W expansion which is excellent all the way, to the point I personally don't want it to end.
Also, still considering to get the Kingdom Hearts all-in-1 package that currently on psn sale. But feels overwhelm by all the contents included in the package. Never play a KH game before. That's that.
I'm playing two Sword Art Online games at once for some reason, Hollow Realization and Fatal Bullet. They're those sort of 6/10 games that you and up liking as if they're 8/10s. Also going through tutorials in Dreams. Such an amazing game - well, more than a game.
May try and finish Bloodstained to get the ‘true’ ending but kind of want to move on and to try A Plague Tale on XB1.
Jumping back and forth between replaying FFXII: The Zodiac Age on PS4 and FFXIII on PS3. They kinda balance each other out well with one being sprawling and the other on rails. I'm at King Raithwall's tomb in XII and Oerba in XIII. I beat the only mainline entry I hadn't last year (XV) and wanted to see the other recent entries after VIIR got delayed. I beat the original release of FFXII on the PS2 when it came out, and FFXIII shortly after its release.
I liked XII on release even though I thought it was really slow. Was the first FF where I didn't make sure to do all the side content on. The new job boards are great and I already planned it out so I hit all 12. Balthier is still awesome. Vaan isn't as bad as I remembered him. The speed up function is incredible and I'm motivated to always do the hunts when they come up and explore as a result. It also lets grinding fly by because I want to keep everyone around the same level. This one might require more planning than most FFs to get the most out of it, but I'm looking forward to seeing my party gradually grow.
XIII on the other hand left me mostly numb on release, but I really liked it when I replayed it last year. The combat system is probably my favorite of any RPG. It streamlines so many things, but the decision to do away with MP and tie up all attacks into the ATB instead is a particularly genius decision. The story exposition is poor and it seeps into so many aspects since its so focused on it, and the cast isn't the strongest (though not as dreadful as some might make out), but this is by far the best and most engaging FF for me from a gameplay perspective. I kept to Lightning/Hope/Fang on the last playthrough, but am really switching around different combinations now and it really shows the flexibility of the system. The OST is also incredible, second favorite from the series after the one for VIII.
I'd probably put FFXIII as my 3rd favorite FF behind VII and VI, and FFXII in the top 10. Definitely prefer both to XV.
I'm at the 100 hour mark in Persona 5 but I feel the inevitable ending is starting to creep up.
Really enjoying Hunt: Showdown! Cool twist from all the battleground games out there
Just put the sims 4 on for my daughter whilst I'm ill. Needless to say it's complicated and making a coffee has never taken 45 minutes. Deleted. In real life You can have a shower, toilet, clothes change and brekky in an hour. In the sims it takes half a day.
Started playing Medievil and I am slowly banging my head against the boulder challenge, curse you trophy. Also gonna head back to the Sims and continue my quest to complete an alphabet challenge.
It’ll be Jedi: Fallen Order for me this weekend, just finished my second visit to Zeffo. Really enjoying it, feels like “Uncharted” but in Star Wars. The set pieces are cool, combat is fun and the atmosphere, visuals and music are brilliant, there so good that I’ve started watching the Star Wars films again! Aside from that it’ll be more Football manager as usual plus more Apex legends!
Yakuza 3 Remastered, Bayonetta and Vanquish.
Heavy Rain
Hunt: Showdown
@Arugula I'm back into Division this weekend after a year? away. Still confused but caring less about the numbers and enjoying the gameplay and great graphics on the Pro.
I finished the main story of MH: W. Bought iceborn and wondering whether I should just take a leap of faith and start the first Iceborn mission or continue playing through HR levels. Been reading different motivations on both fronts.
So Monster hunter it is this weekend!
I'm back into Final Fantasy XIV with the new patch update, so I'll be playing that with friends. I'm also taking a bit of a break from Dragon Quest VIII for some All Kamen Rider: Rider Revolution on 3DS
Nearly 50 hours into ac origins thoroughly enjoying it, looking forward to Odyssey after this, depends on how far i get though with resi 3 and last of us 2 coming
I'm still hopelessly addicted to Stardew Valley and now I can say I've finally made lots of friends...by mostly picking berries off bushes and handing one over to whoever's nearest. If only it was that easy to make friends..
I'll also be continuing my adventure with Atelia Ryza and playing some more My Time In Portia.
I'm going to finish stock piling orbs for next months release of Wizard Zombie in PvZ Battle for Neighborville as I also grind promotions. Will try to kill the final boss in Darksiders 3 after Pride but game mechanics are kinda bad and cost me two sure boss drops so far. After I drop the true boss I'll wrap up the last 5 trophies for the plat.
Carrying on with Greedfall, which is a great old fashioned RPG. The combats a bit ropey, the games a bit 'brown' but enjoyable all the same.
Stupidly bought Football Manager 2020 on Steam and now highly addicted ! Hopefully guiding Grimsby Town from League 2 to Euro glory ...(ppffttt)
I bought GRIS yesterday, so will be finishing that off, amazing so far wasnt sure when i started, then 3hrs had passed lol, as soon as you start unlocking some Skills it starts getting really good, the music is spot on and a bit into the game gets a bit more colorful, in starts its pretty much black n white, the puzzles are good some easy, on or two might make you think for about 5min. Its got a bit of journey vibe to it. Really beautiful game think i probably have an hour or so left. Then if my m8 is online might do a few missions on division 2. Also a plauges tale is on sale for 15 i think on store so might pick that up
@Wazeddie22 stardew is bloody addictive think i played around 90hrs of it in a space of over a month lol, still got it installed and it keeps winking at me lol. Will defo have to get back to the farming life but i know as soon as i put it back on then ill be hooked for a good few weeks, its the same with prison architect i just get totally addicted to them easily do 8hrs on them without noticing. Also is my time in portia good was looking at that the other day looks a lot like stardew, but better graphics
Street Fighter V, Tekken 7, Samurai Shodown, Crash Team Racing, Resident Evil 2, and Control. I won’t get to all of those games but those are the ones I want to play.
@Arugula Have you tried the Coney Island mission yet? It’s pretty neat.
Very quiet on the PS4 front so it's been a lot of Switch, I've just finished Luigi's Mansion 3 and now I'm on to Xenoblade Chronicles 2 which for some reason I've not got round to beforehand. Also just picked up the Sega Ages version of Sonic 2 which is really good
Monster Hunter World Iceborne, No Man's Sky and maybe Dead Rising 4 later what i started earlier this week, i know DR4 gets a lot of hate but i'm really enjoying it especially as i can enjoy it at my own pace now and can muck around without the timer getting it in the way.
@thefirst I really want to play the game and just waiting for a price drop before i bite, seen some gameplay and it looks great and even Jim Sterling of all people was raving about it.
Part of me wants to continue my pursuit of the platinums, in the Dead Space games. But I've played so much now, that my nerves are shot, I'm starting to see necromorph shadows on the walls. I think I might just play something like Untitled Goose Game, before I start to see Nicole sauntering about the house.
I need some recommendation My psn profile
https://psnprofiles.com/HellOfaHunter
I bought the Bioware double pack of Dragon Age Inquisition and Andromeda on a whim at the last sale. Started DA:I and quite liking it so far, even though the combat seems like it will get stale very quickly. Enjoy your weekend guys!
I’ve got back into The Division 2, in anticipation of the forthcoming Warlords of New York expansion. Have completed episodes 1 & 2 of the free dlc, just episode 3 remaining (Coney Island). Also playing Dead Cells, though it’s on XB1 on game pass. This is the sort of game I wouldn’t have given the time of day (hence why I never bought it on PS4), but I’m really enjoying it. Also playing some Darksiders Genesis (PS4), which I’m still undecided about.
@Oldiebutnoobie both AC Origins/Odyssey are great games, though I would advise you to take a break between finishing Origins and starting Odyssey, otherwise you’ll be suffering from some major burnout!
@Hootnoodle Thats a tricky one to get, good reward for all the trophies though!
Finally got the platinum in Death Stranding. Moving on to Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5 remix and Days Gone this weekend.
I was playing NMS with friends till 3am. Trying to get a void egg and Living ship. I'm also trying to clean up trophies in Rime and continue God of War.
Absolutely NOTHING because I'm an idiot! Anyone in the construction, landscaping, mechanic, business (really anything that puts your eyes at risk) listen up! Was banging some nails at work the other day and was too lazy to run to my truck to grab my safety glasses. Well of course a piece of a rusty nail broke off, flew up and hit me in the eye. After days of pain I had to hit the emergency room. Corneal abrasion. Had to have the bits of nail removed from under my eyelid. Now it's a bit hard to see in one eye and I can't do much while waiting for it to heal. Getting better but even the TV or PS4 games are hard to focus on while it heals. Should only take a few days they say. But lesson learned! I should know better as I've been in the business a long time. So wear your glasses even if your just hanging a picture on the wall for the wife! You won't regret it!
Anyway, half blind I was browsing the ps store essential picks deals last night, not much in terms of deals IMO. Probably because I've played most of the games on that list.
Seriously, April can't come soon enough!
Little bit of Gwent and Titanfall... loving how the MnB:Bannerlord is looking right now. Can't wait for the PS4 release!
I’ve never played resistance I know I know so I’m playing through the first one at the moment it’s fun and has its moments very much a game of its time though
@NYJetsfan123 get well soon sir
@JohnKarnes awesome work
@HellOfaHunter not much I can recommend you’ve platinumed have the games I’d recommend amazing work though sir
@Daleaf yeah I think I've done 130 hours or so now on Stardew which is pretty amazing as I really never thought it would be my type of game but i took a gamble on it and bought it just wanting to see what all the fuss was about...now I can't get enough of it and it's got me into a whole new genre of games!lol
My Time In Portia is seriously like a 3d version of Stardew Valley but with less on the farming...at least for now anyway.I'm about 20 hours in but I've more or less gone off and done my own thing rather than follow the story so farming may come into it later. So far I've done lots of fishing, entered a martial arts tournament, made lots of items for people,'tried'to make friends, went mining, played darts and other mini games and beaten up and killed lots of defenceless cute monsters lol
@NYJetsfan123 That sounds nasty!Hope you get better soon and your eyes heal properly.
Playing Vanquished as my high intensity game and Death end re;Quest as my low intensity turn-based game. Both are good at what they do but neither have the internal changes of pace but would allow me to play them for many hours continuously on their own.
Dragon Quest XI S on the Switch and XFL for me this weekend.
@themcnoisy That's one thing that has always irked me with The Sims how long it takes them to do the simplest tasks. Like seriously it takes them a half an hour (game time) to drink a glass of juice.
Finished the main story for yakuza 0, played over 40 hrs, done about 35 of the substories played a bit of the mini games and fair amount of the skill wheels and have completed 18.2 % of the game. 18.2%, I've finished the main story?! Such a great game, hooked on the series and might give either kiwami or 2 a go after I've done a few more substories. Playing some more skyrim too but loading up res evil 7, looking forward to some horror. I've only played a bit of original two on a mates ps back in the day, looking forward to a horror fix!!
Nioh. Doing better at this than dark souls. Just preordered Nioh 2.
Gears 5. May also make a start on Devil May Cry 5.
@Wazeddie22 I was same with stardew just bought it on a whim heard a lot of ppl talking about it, but thought I would get bored, now I have to stop myself playing them lol. You should defo check prison architect out I sank some serious hours into that one. And I will defo get my time in Portia at some point along with two point hospital.
Playing resi 0 now, very nice. After that will finally start re2 remake
@Daleaf Two point Hospital is another one I love the look of..probably get the Switch version though.Haven't heard of the Prison Architect game though,I'll check it out!cheers.
Just played five nights at freddy's vr for an hour, it's good fun but after the first couple of jump scares it stops being scary but it works well with the move controllers and head phones in. Then had a couple of games of dream tennis vr which is really good and now back to my 2nd play though of southpark tfbw for the plat, think theres only a couple of bosses left
RDR2 finally. It was that or Death Stranding. Holy massive game. It hasnt gripped me like the 1st yet but had been impressive nonetheless
I came pretty close to buying Dreams today but my backlog loomed large so I’m waiting. Instead I’m playing the wonderful Jedi Fallen Order and maybe some AC Origins.
Been dipping in and out of VR games (Playroom, RE7) and I've been digging it, but Dreams is the game i'll be vibing with for a very long time. When VR comes to Mm's latest, gosh dang I may cry.
@Get2thechoppa 😂😂 u crazy! Good luck tho!!
@BarefootBowser never enough time 😢
@KingPev I’m on the fence with greedfall, worth it at $30 (current PS store $)???
@Wsritucci37 it's a good game, certainly enjoyable but you can tell it's not a AAA title, combat is ropey but it tells a great story and is an old fashioned RPG, similar to the first Mass Effect. If you're on the fence I'd say wait til it drops to $20 dollars. And it's got 'free PS Plus' title all over it 🤣. Got lots of Replay value too
@gollumb82 stick with Inquisition ....it's superb ! One of the best RPGs ever
@Unffclcntrllerpd Thank you I give Rachet and clank a shot so far enjoyable
Spent most of the weekend at my folks', where my sister triumphantly turned up with the old Sega Saturn which she'd found at her house.
We spent a large portion of yesterday trying to get it to work, sadly to no avail.
More Rise of the Tomb Raider for the final day of true trophies leapfrog challenge.
And after that more TLOU online on the wife's ps4 and some assassins creed Odyssey.
@Claude nice to see love for VI. It's a superb game. I wish they'd bring the first 6 to ps4 with trophies.
@Ristar24 yeah I've attempted it 4 times now, gonna leave it until the end 😂
Well on Friday night I played generation zero on Saturday night I played zombie army trilogy and this morning I played ps1 Soviet strike and ps1 command & conquer which is still amazing fun to play even twenty years later. So not sure what I will be playing later!
@KingPev
Thanks, will keep that in mind. Having gone through RDR1 and 2 I know better than to quit games early (both take their sweet time to get going but both are worth the time investment).
@Hootnoodle I’ll be starting medevil as soon as I finish the final chapter of resident evil 4
@MJKatana it's pretty good, just leave the hill trophy for a while. 😂
@Hootnoodle good luck! Really great remake in my opinion, one of the few games where I was compelled to collect all the trophies.
@Ristar24 yeah I'm having a lot of fun with it. I never played it the first time around.
