Update: Activision has announced that 15 million players have tried Call of Duty: Warzone within four days of its release.
Original Article: We were extremely confident that Call of Duty: Warzone would be a big hit with the Battle Royale masses, and Activision has quickly proven that hunch to be correct by revealing the number of players the game has attracted since it launched less than two days ago. More than six million players gave Call of Duty: Warzone a shot within the first 24 hours of its availability.
It's an incredible number, which at the time of writing, is on course to beat the impressive records Apex Legends managed to set over a year ago. The Respawn Entertainment developed title managed to amass one million unique players in the space of eight hours and then went on to pull in 10 million users in its first three days on the market. Should Call of Duty: Warzone continue at this pace, it'll have that number beat by the time day two comes to a close. We're certain Activision will make us all aware of that should it happen.
We're not particularly enamoured with the first-person Battle Royale shooter, but it's clear that others have a lot of love for it. Have you had the chance to check out Call of Duty: Warzone yet? Are you one of the six million players who will return to the game in the coming days? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

I dont normally like br games but theres a lot of things that rectify my issues. Im enjoying it quite a lot!
My favorite BR since H1Z1. I stopped playing BO4 cuz every time I try to play they have another 80gb download lol
Your new COD game for next year people full of cosmetics, LB and MTs just how Activision want to take the franchise too, you'll get your single player story version but I reckon MP will be free to play with Warzone added as an extra mode etc
since the cod games have gone 'live service' they are f**ked. from now on everything is gonna have a paywall/microtransactions everywhere and a insane grind in it. the cod game will never be finished, so expect gigs of download everytime you just want to play it for 30min. cod are done.
@TheBuzz What games do you like btw mate? I never have seen you post something positive in a post.
Not dissing, just wanna know what you're into.
@TheBuzz yeah because 6 million players in a day really screams fu#!#£d 🙄...the end for sure
Hot on the heels of this success Activision announces Sekiro Shinobi Royale.
@KingPev the last good cod was infinity warfare, the single player was fantastic and you didnt need to download a patch to be able to play it either. for us that loved the old cod when it was quality before quanity and a full 'live service', the cod as we know it is over. but i dont doubt the mobile fortnite generation, that have been force feed microtransactions for their whole life, will love it. and then we have all those that are not gamers but only play games to earn a living, these so called streamers and infuencers. they will keep it alive for activision to milk them dry for money. so cod will go on, but for me its over.
it's meh, that's all I can think of to say
@DonJorginho i like many games and play many different games. days gone,red dead redemption2, doom, dirt4, tomb raider and many more quality games. cod have just taken a dump, mw2019 was very promising with no lootboxes, boots on the ground etc.. but then they did run it into the ground in my opinion. it started with you couldnt play the single player from the disc, from there on it have been a downhill. in 10 years you will not be able to play mw2019 anymore. just take a look at the ps3 mw3 and blkops2 the servers dont accept new players anymore, and its more laggy than ever before. thats how much activision care for their online games. so seeing activision now going full on with live services for cod, it dont look good. i look at video games as art and not as mcdonald junkfood thats only put out there to milk your wallets. i like to go back 30 years from now and still play my games and not be met with couldnt connect to servers. 'live service' games are a waste of time.
I actually really want to play this but the sheer size of the game i just can't really allow on my PS4 where space is very limited until i get a 4TB HD.
@M1359 ok and?
I played it today. It’s alright, nothing special or fun, to be honest. Not something I’d play again.
@M1359 Trust me, that guy is one of the weirder guys on here 😉
I enjoy running people over with my vehicles. Hoping to get someone with the helicopter soon.
The review on pushsquare where they said the inventory mechanics werent as 'deep' convinced me to give it a try. I tried a few BR games before this but was allways done after 1 or 2 rounds, this is the first 1 I played all day.
@TheBuzz I deleted this game because of all the damn updates....
@M1359 ok cupcake
