Gamescom 2020’s not scheduled to start until 25th August, so it’s not currently in the crosshairs of the coronavirus. Of course, the world is in a state of uncertainty right now, and that could quickly change if the disease doesn’t disappear over the coming weeks. The organisers of the Cologne-based event have admitted that preparations for the show are continuing as planned, but that it’s keeping a close eye on current events.
“Should Gamescom be postponed or cancelled by the Koelnmesse, all ticket purchasers of the official ticket shop will be reimbursed for the already paid visitor tickets,” the organisers explained in a social media statement. “We look forward to you and your participation.”
Let’s hope that the show goes ahead as planned, because that means we’ll have made it through to the other side of what are admittedly scary times.

At least we're getting some good news despite the pandemic.
I don’t think I’ll be buying any tickets to any mass-events until lockdown has been lifted and I’m sure coronavirus hasn’t reemerged.
