Quantic Dream’s cult classic murder mystery Indigo Prophecy – better known as Fahrenheit outside North America – is getting a physical PlayStation 4 release, courtesy of Limited Run Games. The title, which originally launched on PlayStation 2 in 2005, was ported to Sony’s current console as part of its PS2 Classics programme.
Pre-orders will open on 3rd April and will run for four weeks, so you’ll have a little bit of time to snag a copy. This title precedes the likes of Heavy Rain and Detroit: Become Human, and helped lay the foundations for the French developer’s narrative-driven games. It’s dated, but it’s well worth experiencing if you’re a fan of the firm’s other titles.

Oh yeah this was the nudie one with the horrible flying fighting scene. Jeez, I don’t get David Cage.
Fahrenheit is a wayyyy better name than Indigo Prophecy. I also really enjoyed it back in the day. Always loved the cover art.
@nessisonett he is strange for sure. And hit or miss. I did not enjoy Beyond one bit. But Heavy Rain, Indigo and Detroit were a blast. Never played the first game Omnikron something?
@Nyne11Tyme Yeah, Omikron, the one with David Bowie is strange af but not awful.
@nessisonett anyway to play on current systems? Maybe steam?
@Nyne11Tyme Yep, it’s currently £1 on Steam. Worth a look for sure!
@nessisonett I could never get a handle on how the hell to play Omikron (I had it on Dreamcast) but I kept trying anyway. I loved the setup and that they used music from Bowie's Hours, a fantastic album.
Still have the ps2 copy here. First and last Cage game I played, even though it was quite amusing in an odd way.
I remember loving this back in the day until it all started to get bats**t crazy. The opening scene was the best.
I'm going for it. Loved this game on PS2. A lot of people think David Cage games are weird, I quite like them.
Steam has remastered version of Fahrenheit with widescreen and FullHD resolution. PS4 has the PS2 version emulated. I wonder which one will be this physical release.
Limited Run Games, are very limited, very expensive and its a import. so i dont consider this as getting a physical release.
Fahrenheit>Indigo Prophecy. Don't @ me
Eeeeewwwwww.... David cage.... shudder
@Deadhunter agree about the DB album.
@TheBuzz why? It’s a still physical. And given it’s such a niche type of game there will be enough copies to go round. Don’t sweat it!
@GADG3Tx87 the problem isn’t weirdness. It’s banal story telling and annoying characters noone could be expected to care about. Also complete lack of gameplay. QTE, walk, talk, QTE...
@Arnna
I personally grew attached to the characters in DBH and Heavy Rain. Particularly Kara and Alice in DBH. Plus for me personally it's all about story being the most important thing in a game so I look past a lot of things for good story telling.
I remember playing a demo of this back when I was a kid. Not even HD? Probably not much point considering I still have a BC ps3.
@AFCC Indigo Prophecy>Fahrenheit
This game is really good for about forty minutes and then pretty erm for about five hours and then what the hell is going on did they write this by pulling plot developments out of a hat for the rest.
