Teams making PlayStation 5 games will now be working with the final DualSense controllers, as Sony has reached an important milestone and its shipping the final unit to studios.
“Based on our discussions with developers, we concluded that the sense of touch within gameplay, much like audio, hasn’t been a big focus for many games,” said Sony’s Hideaki Nishino. “We had a great opportunity with PS5 to innovate by offering game creators the ability to explore how they can heighten that feeling of immersion through our new controller. This is why we adopted haptic feedback, which adds a variety of powerful sensations you’ll feel when you play.”
It’s not the only innovation that’s included with the DualSense, as it also features a new Create button, altered light bar, and microphone array. You can find out more about the PS5 controller through here.

New create button, isn't the functionality of that different on the console side? It's just the same button as far as the controller is concerned surely
it's growing on me more and more.
can't help but think the console reveal (as in design) is not far away.
maybe this time next month?
@carlos82 It's always been on the console side, but it's still a "feature" I think.
@get2sammyb just seems weird attributing it to the controller when its design is basically the same that's all. I'm definitely curious as to know what exactly it entails though
As for haptic feedback it'll be interesting to see if they can make it really useful, my experience ranges from the pitiful Steam controller to the excellent if largely useless implementation on Switch. The mini game where it seemed like there are balls in the controller felt amazing but I can't say I've really noticed it outside of that.
I really hope there’s one in all black 😅
Guys, remember how the PS1 controller was white?
Every since PS2, the PlayStations had been black.
PS5 is a big milestone and a designing the controller white is likely a homage to the PS1 classic.
@throwmeaname. I agree.ps5 console will be the same as the controller.and thats?finecwitth me.ps1 was gray.and people likevit.im glad the light bar is back.word up son
@playstation1995
Console will be black and white you think?
I think they go with bold design.

@throwmeaname PS1 was grey, they had a black PS1 console which was the devkit nicknamed "net yaroze."
Wait, are the create button and light bar new features? Isn't that just the share button and a light bar that has been relocated from DS4?
