Let’s touch base, then. How are you all doing? It’s been a weird couple of weeks, hasn’t it? Hopefully you’re all staying safe and following your government’s guidelines to prevent the spread of coronavirus. It just so happens that playing video games is a great way to fight this blasted disease, so let us know what’s keeping you busy in the comments section below.

I’ve given up on playing anything else, as MLB The Show 20 has just decided to dominate my entire time. I’m working on building the ultimate Diamond Dynasty team, and not even coronavirus is going to stop me at this stage.

Indies! The focus this weekend is Biped, a cute co-op game about a pair of little robots, and it just looks adorable. There's also Deep Sky Derelicts, which I've yet to get around to, but the aim is to write up Mini Reviews for both.
Jade Sayers, Reviewer
This weekend, I’ll be playing Persona 5 Royal. I’m really loving it so far, and all the changes are really interesting to play through. I forgot how much I loved the game and all the characters, and playing it again is like reconnecting with old friends.
Jenny Jones, Reviewer
I'm using my time in isolation to play through some of my backlog and am currently working my way through The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. I played it for many hours when it first came out but never made it very far through the main storyline. I always got too distracted exploring every cave that I came across. Hopefully that will all start to change this weekend.
What are you playing this weekend, then? Do you have anything particular lined up, or will you just see what takes your fancy? Stay safe in the comments section below.

A little bit of Modern Warfare and a lot of Resident Evil 3 Remake
This weekend, I have been mostly eating... Tapestry: A Civilization Game.
https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/286096/tapestry
1. ARMS Party Crash Event. 😀
2. Pokemon Sword
3. Animal Crossing New Leaf 3DS
Finished playing tlou remaster on ps4. I...I think I'm the bad guy here, like, really bad guy. I mean I understand why, but still. I'm still thinking about the ending, and what the implication for the sequel, I think fireflies will become some sort of death cult in tlou 2. Also finished playing left behind, I really like that you can pit human enemy against the infected, it's fun (and super hilarious) throwing a bottle near human enemy and saw their panicked response when the infected run toward them lol, I really hope there are many moment like this in the sequel, I can imagined how hilarious it is to pit many human enemy agains bloater to see who's the winner.
And yup, tlou remaster is officially my favorite ps4 games now, and one of my top favorite games on any system, I can't praise the game enough. The only complain I have is the trophy list is bad, I don't want to replay it with the highest difficulty nor I want to play online to get the platinum. Also I get an email thanking me for finishing the game but there's no wallpaper or others reward, weird.
On pc I just bought gears 5 and halo mcc on steam for about $7.5 and $8.16 respectively. I regret getting 2 years xbox gamepass ultimate pc for about $120, the xbox pc store is embarrassingly bad, it can't download games without disconnecting and I have to manually press the reload button, it's really tiring downloading big games from that store, while steam, egs, and even uplay didn't have this problem. I just bought 2tb ssd for my pc and I want to move all of my games to that ssd and I don't want to download big games from microsoft store anymore, so I just bought microsoft exclusive titles that I want from steam rather than getting it "free" on xbox pc store. Man I should put that money for better video card rather than bought 2 years pc gamepass
Modern Warfare 2 Remastered and going through Resident Evil 3 nightmare mode. Once all done I shall continue with P5R.
Shining Resonance Refrain (On PS4) is what I'll mainly be playing this weekend. I'm finding it pretty decent, if unambitious, and the more light hearted presentation and tone is just what I needed apparently.
Due to a colleague taking ill yesterday though I'll be back at work teaching on Monday.
Take care and stay safe everyone!
Just had the credits roll on Control, great game. Going to try for the platinum but some tricky bosses left.
Looks like Resident Evil 3 won’t be in today’s mail so might start A Plague Tale this weekend.
Happy and safe gaming everyone.
Persona five Royal. Definitely different enough to make it worth replying.
Panzer Dragoon Saga on the Saturn, whilst on PS3 it'll be some old Sega arcade games and Metal Gear Solid 4, finally Animal Crossing and Doom 64 on Switch
Animal Crossing, mostly.
Persona 5 Royal & Animal Crossing. Y’know, real video games.
resi 3 ofcourse!
Final Fantasy 7 Remake, which has been an absolute joy so far😊 And man, talk about a treat for the eyes (& ears) My glasses have been blown clean off my face several times!
@kyleforrester87 yeah I've long since made all of the bunny stuff. I did get a fair few bells for my left over eggs though
Was lucky enough to get P5R almost a week early due to it releasing early here, still playing it. Turns a 9/10 game into a 10 for me, absolutely terrific game for these domestic times.
Busy invading people's palaces, as well as killing zombies/avoiding Nemesis. A bit of Animal Crossing as well at some point.
The Legend of Dragoon on my Vita 🙂
Control After nabbing it for just £19.99 when it was “deal of the week” on the PS store recently, I’m really enjoying it so far. Don’t know why I didn’t pick it up at launch, maybe my backlog was too big at the time 🤔 Still playing Red Dead online, Doom Eternal (which isn’t as good as Doom 2016 imo), and on Switch Animal Crossing New Horizons.
Final Fantasy VII Remake! I have to keep slapping myself to remind me that this is real! 😁
I'm playing Metroid Prime for the first time, and it's a great game. My only problems have been that it's frustratingly obtuse where to go at times, even more so than other metroidvanias I've played, and the lack of a fast travel system leads to some of the slowest backtracking ever. That said, I'm still really enjoying it!
I've also just started playing Steinsgate Elite, which I know next to nothing about, but it's been a while since I've played a visual novel so thought it might be worth a try
The only thing about this lockdown thing is when you get ill with something else.I'm pretty sure I have an ear infection or some such thing that all noises especially people talking and music hurts my ears..so as I can't do anything about it I have to play great games without the great music..
So I'll continue to play Trails Of Cold Steel 2 without the music..luckily I don't have to listen to the corny voice acting either..
Animal Crossing on the other hand the music doesant bother me..and it's taking over my life..seriously how is this game so good when nothing actually exciting happens?
Hopefully will get to start FF7R this weekend too if TOCS2 ever fininshes..
Moppinh up the final few trophies for the last of us this weekend, then dont know what to play after that. Still got control to get through so might start that again, but also need to start AC odessey again as I left it too long and need to start from the beginning might start as the other character just to get a little different story. So got some decisions to make although I have plenty of other games to play, so will see what I'm in the mood to play after finally getting the tlou platinum.
Going on a nostalgia run and decided I'm gonna spend the whole of the afternoon/evening/night playing Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2.
I'm sorry Yakuza 0, FFXV, Mortal Kombat 11, Soul Calibur VI, you're all dumped. I'm spending all my time with FFVIIR now.
Dark souls 3.and darkest dungeon.2 extremely addictive games.stay safe everyone.word up son
Ff7 remake baby 😁😁😁😁
RE3, Death Stranding & DOOM Eternal maybe finish off Luigis Mansion 3 as well
@Ichiban How did you get it so early?
Animal Crossing and Resident Evil 3 Remake for me. I started Persona 5 Royal the other day but I’m actually going to hold off on that because I won’t be able to juggle that and Final Fantasy 7 Remake at the same time.
Bouncing back and forth between:
Beyond Two Souls
Return to Arkham Asylum.
Might throw a little WarZone in there.
If the lady wants to play we'll go with either:
ToeJam and Earl Panic on Funkotron
Little Big Planet 3
Enjoying Re3 playing a littile bit of the online mode too
Nothing big really, just messing around on Star Trek Online getting TOS and Discovery characters through the story mode
I just put final fantasy 7 remake play disc in. My silent ps4 slim just got loud!
More Persona 5. I'm finding the latest Palace to be quite the challenge though so if I become 'stuck' I may go back to Days Gone.
P5 is so damn addictive though it's hard to tear oneself away from it!
Stay safe everyone and keep on gaming. We're helping to save lives after all!
👍
Doom Eternal, Nioh 2 and Everybody Golf (bought on sales now) on Ps4, Dragon Quest Builders 2 on Switch (becoming totally addicted to it)...
I picked up Doom 2016 from the spring sale, and it's just what I needed to take my mind off of things. I haven't thought at all about how we're only 5 days, 15 hours and 28 minutes away from FF7 Remake.
Finishing off Super Smash Bros Ultimate and finishing off getting the secret racer in Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled that's unlocked from finding all the hidden beenox crates.
Also tempted to try out Persona 1. And before anyone asks, I know that P5R has just released, but I only played P5 just last year and want more of a break from it before doing the new one.
And as there's plenty of time for me this weekend, I may well find one more game from my backlog to enjoy.
I bought Ni No Kuni 2 in the spring sale, really enjoying it even if the story is embarrassingly childish at times. Just built my kingdom and recruit a few people so it’s chugging along nicely 🙂 I’ll also play some Apex as usual and probably some BF V
On Switch I’m playing Fire Emblem 3 Houses and I committed to finish at least one storyline! Although I’ve somehow manage to get all the men on my house killed in a weird coincidence, trying hard to recruit now!
And ofcoarse I’ll keep doing my daily routine in Animal Crossing
@BranJ0 enjoy Steins;Gate - you’re in for an absolute treat!
Bit of everything really, I'm having one of those inbetween-games sort of weekends. Sniper Elite 4, Borderlands 3, Horizon Zero Dawn, and whatever the kids want to play in the daytime. They mostly want to play a card game called Exploding Kittens...
Finished Doom Eternal on Thursday so I'm going to go back and finish Control before Final Fantasy 7 Remake is out next week.
I'm gutted. I totally forgot to do my daily challenge in Red Dead Online and have lost my 328 day streak.
Gonna comfort myself with a Jill sandwich.
Lego City undercover which has my exact sense of humour and something needed in these times as I'm working from home. Also more Sims 4 to get my legacy going and Animal crossing. I am now actively selling all the stupid eggs I come across.
I'm balancing Animal Crossing and Persona 5 Royal. I only wish thieving skills could be used in Animal Crossing so I can pay off Tom Nook.
Lockdown has enabled me to finally finish Shenmue III and get working on my backlog. By way of escapism I'm currently spending a ton of time in Days Gone's virus-ridden world!
Control, Ghost Recon Breakpoint and Civilization VI.
Starwars jedi knight 2 jedi academy. It's one of the best Starwars games ever it takes a while to get the hang of it but the light saber combat is the best in any game ever.
Easy to pick up but can take years to master.
I'll be hopefully wrapping up the Platinum on FF15 12 more side quests and just Gladius & Noctis' skills to get from about halfway through level 7 to 10. Some PVZ Battle for Neighborville & MK11. Will possibly start either Far Cry 5, Fallen Order or Lego Villians that I bought on the last 2 sales.
Had no time for gaming because of all the damn e-learning! Still stuck at ME:Andromeda. It's ok, but nothing to write home about. Makes me think about actually replaying the ME Trilogy with all DLC, but I have it on the PC and don't feel like playing on the PC anymore
Samurai Shodown and I’m gonna try to get back into Control. Animal Crossing on Switch.
Resident Evil 3 remake
@ApostateMage Devastated. That's some serious dedication. I think my record was fourteen
FF8 Remastered on PS4 - never played this before but I'm about 18hrs in and loving it. It's an absolute joy ! I even like the Junction system ha ha. It reminds me of playing FF games years ago, on a blast of an adventure and playing waaayyy past bedtime. I'd say it's my favourite one so far and I've played them all. Looking forward to FF7 next week too.
Also playing StarCraft 2 on PC, this game is stealing my life !
Just want FF7R😞 but Strange Brigade and Mother Russia Bleed right now. Always Rocket League
@vegeta11 Noctis is easy to do, just fish a place dry and go to another but Gladio's is a bit harder, his only goes up while you explore on foot so best bet is to start at Hammerhead and run along the road until you make a lap of map (just follow the outside road), that should do it
Sorry Sean and Daniel (life is strange 2). Your trip to mexico will have to go on hold. Cloud strife is here and he's wanting to save the planet from Shinra. FF7 Remake for the forseeable!
After a long break from videogames, seriously, like almost a month, I've finally got back into playing. Of course it's Madden 20 though! A couple matches at night after the kiddos go to bed. I haven't had time to pick up a copy of resident evil yet, I'll probably pick that and ff7 remake at the same time. My work is still deemed essential during this pandemic so I don't have much time to play still.... Stay safe everybody!
Trails of Cold Steel 1. Just reached the Nord Highlands and I'm really enjoying it.
Playing Shadows Awakening, and having a blast with it. This game has been in my backlog forever, and I am really enjoying it.
I am looking forward to the mini review of Deep Sky Derelicts. I am intrigued by the comic book art style of that one.
I just beat that filthy Kamoshida in Persona 5 Royal.
If this is just the tutorial, what can I expect from the rest of the game!?!
Animal crossing, Tom nooks got hold of me now!!
Need to take a few games off the PS4/PC list.
1. Try and Finish Alyx
3. Try and finish CONTROL The Foundation
5. Doom
6. Ori: Will of the Wisp
Breakpoint online (if cousins are on).
F12019/Dirt 2.0 online (if solo)
Glad so many games are out during this mess.
I'm just heading into Croc's Lair in Arkham Asylum!
Persona 5: Royal baby. It’s so good. A 10/10 was made that much better. The new content is great and I’m appreciating the original story all the more. And man, not being told to go to bed so much is great!
@andreoni79 What do you mean by that exactly?
On my 3rd playthrough of both P5 and RDR2. The hype with P5R made me want to revisit the the former. I think P5R is overpriced for some characters and polish though.
@Col_McCafferty yea I forgot how addictive P5 can be. The text/chatter though it can get annoying especially when you just want the chance to save after 40+mins, is still interesting to read/listen for the most part. P5 is up there with RDR2, Witcher 3 as games with the best stories this gen no doubt.
@Jaz007 I'm playing on Hard even if it's my first Persona and it took me 16 hours to beat the first palace on the very last day. I tried to understand how not to waste my free time and how fusion works but I still feel I'm just at the beginning of a crazy journey.
I hope other bosses are less disgusting than Kamoshida...
@andreoni79 There are a lot more like Kamoshida, the game does a good job of making annoying characters REALLY ANNOYING.
@TheArt Damn we might have the same taste.
Persona 5 us my favourite game since finishing The Witcher 3 which was my favourite since finishing Red Dead in 2018!
Honourable mentions to Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War and AC Odyssey which I also thoroughly enjoyed.
@andreoni79 Oh that's nothing, nearly 30 hours before I finally got past that creep!
I messed up with my schedule, kept on going back a week, dying on mid-sized bosses, tempted to start all over but eventually I got it right and it was such a relief when Kamoshida was finally vanquished.
Once you get through your first Palace sorting out your schedule and how to approach future infiltrations become easier although the enemies don't!
It's the ESO anniversary festival so spending every spare moment to grind me some spectacular loot
The Wolf Among Us and Team Sonic Racing! 😃
Nioh 2 and overwatch. I've been waiting for the new character to drop and it's taking forever. And nioh 2 is criminally underrated. Seems like it's gonna stay a niche series for a while
@FullbringIchigo that's a good tip on Gladio I have been side questinf on foot to get him to 8.25 but just finished my last side quest on the final fishing quest which also got Noctis' to 10 so now I'm just going to walk 500 miles, then I'll walk 500 more if the trophy doesn't pop.
@vegeta11 well it wont pop until you rest and it tallies up but you shouldn't have to do it too many times, the only issue is night time and the monsters that come with it
Assassin's Creed: Altair's Chronicles HD (Windows Phone) - I was taking a break from this but I'm resuming this weekend.
Fallout 3 (Games For Windows) - Starting a new playthrough.
Yoshi's Woolly World (Wii U) - I've only just started World 1 so far, but am finding it enjoyable so far.
nothing since my account was stolen and cant get in contact with customer support
I received Persona 5 Royal this week, and Final Fantasy VII Remake the day after. And as much as I love the Persona series, FFVIIR has captured my attention. I can't seem to stop playing...
I have nothing new... i already finish Ori.
And theres no sight of physical FFVII on my country.
@andreoni79 They're all horrible people, but they don't have the rape sins that Kamoshida does. Also, I really woudn't recommend playing hard on your first play through, so much of Persona is the social side of things and struggling that much in the palaces will severely limit your time on that side of things, which will, in turn probably make you enjoy the game less overall because you'll feel it was unbalanced with how you spent your time.
Curious Expedition (totally fantastic!!!) , Dirt 4, Super Robot wars 5, Sudden Strike 4, Magmax
Still working on Animal Crossing, Doom Eternal (just bought it), and Modern Warfare if the crew is on.
@kyleforrester87 I used to love finding fossils now I'm all... 'Ach it'll just be an egg.'
@crimsontadpoles I have played P4 and p5 but really want to go back and play the first three but they are like 34.99 on ps vita store and I'm just not paying that for games that are over 15 years old. Not digitally anyway., maybe if they were psyical copies.
ff7r came on Friday so that has consumed my time. Also keeping up with my daily visit to Skybowl via ACNH.
Playing through Shovel Knight for the first time. Also trying to finish Shadow of the Tomb Raider, which I put down for several months.
Skyrim, bought it after completing Skyrim VR, but never got into it, guess it was to soon after, enjoying it so far.
Animal Crossing, and Nioh 2... Died about 1000 times already!
Resident Evil 3 and Doom Eternal
Very late but why not. All I have played is Assassins Creed Odyssey. Incredible game but I wish the fast travel points were closer together and that there weren't so many missions but I've loved it. Almost at the end of the game and the dlc packs are all ready to go. Additional feats has been fun too.
@grahamd how is Journey to a Savage Planet?? I have about 80$ in credit on PSStore and its only 20$. That gives me enough for digital ff7 if my collectors edition doesnt say "shipped" by wednesday
PSA. Strange Brigade is 15$ US for the 80$ bundle of everything. Plays like if Uncharted and Gears had a baby lol. Great time with a friend(s)
