Goodness gracious, WAYP seems to come around quicker every single week. We’re not sure whether it’s lockdown or not, but it feels like the days are flying by faster than ever before – it’s almost May, for crying out loud!

I’ll be overcoming the ice in SnowRunner this weekend, as I’ve volunteered to review the haulage simulation. I’ve no idea what to expect, and I can’t tell you my thoughts for a little while, so watch this space.
Stephen Tailby, Associate Editor
Review duty calls once more, so I'll be (bare) knuckling down with a couple of upcoming PS4 titles. One is Moving Out, an Overcooked-esque co-op game about relocating furniture. Perhaps you can guess the other one?
Liam Croft, Senior Staff Writer
I've got a Final Fantasy VII Remake marathon planned for this weekend. I'm currently at Chapter 11 and I'd like to finish the game in the near future so I best get cracking. Besides that, I'll also be playing Help Will Come Tomorrow for review.
That’s all from us this week, then, but what about you? What are you playing this weekend? We’re 320 issues deep now, so you know the drill.

FFVII REMAKE for me still, I beat Hell House last night, was a lengthy battle for Sure but managed on my first go. Really loving the game, Have a good weekend everyone!
still rolling hot with FF7 remake.
chapter 10. 22hours in and still 8 chapters to go! they where not lying when they said that this is a full game.
very good game though. GOTY contender for sure.
MHW:Iceborne & Modnation Racers on the Vita. I hope Sony brings back Modnation for PS5 ! We need a Kart Racer on console again .
More FF7 Remake (currently at start of Chapter 7) and the Diamond Casino Heist in GTA Online.
Final Fantasy VII remake, the original Resident Evil 2 and Dark Saviour on the Saturn
Persona 5 Royal. I’ve done all I can on the social front and are working my way through a floating palace wondering whether I’ve been able to change an inevitable fate from the previous game.
Switching between Link's Awakening and Steinsgate Elite - Steinsgate is a bit of a slog at the moment but I've been told it picks up so am persevering there, but Link's Awakening is brilliant! It's one of the few zelda games I've never played through before, and it's filled with tons of charm. Easily my favourite 2D zelda so far!
No Final Fantasy VII Remake this weekend thanks to Amazon's policy of fulfilling new preorders before ones made years ago.
So playing Grim Fandango Remastered instead.
ESO and finishing death stranding before FF7 comes in the week hopefully
Just started chapter 8 on FF7R, so far so good.
Danganronpa 2, Journey, and Persona 1 for me. If there's time, then perhaps some more Mega Man 8.
Continuing my first run through persona 5 which has gripped me all week. After thta playing some more of the council which is janky fun. Stay safe everyone. 😊
Monster Hunter World iceborn once again. I must admit I'm taking my time learning different weapons and getting through the Iceborn story. About to take on my first Velkhana fight.
Have a good weekend everyone!
Taking a break from Dragon Quest Builder 2 (NSW) after clearing second island, playing mainly Nioh 2 and Fire Emblem 3 Houses (totally hooked in the story and gameplay loop). Switch is becoming my main console during Covid time
@jdv95 you must be just ahead of me I beat Hell House and saved it with 21and a half hours saved before heading to bed last night. I don't get the gripes of it not being a full game and I'm enjoying the side quests, the textures thing can be patched out but the world is going through a Pandemic so it can wait. Not squares fault that some folks just want to rush through it to get to the next game they want to play/purchase!
Finally getting around to Resident Evil 3 (FF7R had all my attention up until recently!) & been meaning to dust off the old Snes & play through Yoshi's Island. But we'll see if that happens!
Dragon quest 11 echoes of an elusive age.amazing game.story is good.gameplay is n.i.c.e.and the graphics is amazing.one of the best looking games ever.word life word to your mother.word is bond.word ☝ up son
Finished my first play through of Resi 3 but enjoyed it so much going to do some more runs and try to pick up a few more trophies. Got me in the mood to replay 2 as well.
After some frustrating attempts to get into Mutant Year Zero I have also restarted a campaign on X-Com 2. Forgot how much I love that game.
Happy gaming everyone.
Valkyria Chronicles Remastered, Titanfall 2 and SOMA. Really enjoying this rotation, quality titles!
Final fantasy 7 remake, I can't stop playing it! I really really like the characters in this game, tifa is cute, jessie is super adorable, I like barret, biggs and wedge. Even enemies like roche is okay, he seems alright in my books, he just want to race with his motorcycle with cloud
Days Gone. Got to Lost Lake and loving every minute of this game! Underrated in my book. Also, probably some of the best gunplay in TPP games for me.
Additionally, trying to rein in Lancia Stratos in historical rallies in Dirt Rally 2.0.
This morning and afternoon :
1. The Sims 3 PS3
2. Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction PS3
Right now :
3. Pokepark 2 Wonder Beyond Wii
Nioh 2! Looks & plays incredible. I’m completely hooked all over again.
Team Ninja are gameplay gods.
On PS4 it will be Samurai Shodown and maybe Control. I’ll mostly be on the Switch this weekend with Animal Crossing.
@KratosMD finally getting going with Bravely Default? 👍🏻
FF7 Remake and Animal Crossing for me
Have just got the platinum trophy for Diablo 3, can't make up my mind what game to play next, think I might end up jumping back into Dragon Quest Heroes. But I definitely plan to play one of the interactive movies from the fmv bundle I bought a last week, have played two of them, thought The Complex was very good, and the Shapeshifting Detective was OK.
Just reached chapter 10 on FF7 Remake..great so far but ridiculous in places. In a good way !
Also blitzing Civilization 6 on PS4, this is addictive like crack ! Easy for 6hrs to pass by in the blink of an eye, superb
StarCraft 2 on PC, my other drug of choice
Stay safe guys
FF7R, P5R, Resi3 and Granblue Fantasy Versus.
FINAL FANTASY VII Remake trying to do each chapter on hard mode
first boss has already kicked my arse and i was over level 40 with powerful weapons and armour
this is gonna be a challenge
Blowing stuff up while listening to Moxxi's sexual innuendos in Borderlands 3, shooting the vital organs of nazis in Sniper Elite 4 and building houses in Terraria.
One of those games will be with the kids. I've not decided which yet.
@Gremio108 ha ha gotta be Sniper Elite surely ? 🤣🤣
FFVII Remake. I've just been annihilated by Abzu. My own fault for not having a cure materia on anybody. I wish you could swap materia during fights, it's stupid doing trial and error on unprepared encounters.
@KingPev You're never too young to shoot a nazi in the nuts, as my old grandpappy used to say.
Animal Crossing,Final Fantasy VII Remake and Stardew Valley.
Eclectic mix for me as I dance around the house to find space to chill. Mainly Tomb Raider anniversary in XB1, some Ratchet and Clank Trilogy on Vita and loving Replaying Gun on the 360.
@gollumb82 I like your taste in games! I’ve been loving Days Gone, it’s such a badass game! I haven’t played it in a while coz I’ve been hopping back and forth between other games recently but I’ll jump back in soon when I get a chunk of free time. Have you encountered any of the boss fights yet? Man they’re intense, even that first bear you encounter.. that got my heart racing! I still suck at taking out hordes but the freakers AI is really great and leads to some spontaneous situations.
POWGI word search and Resident Evil 2 B playthroughs as I go after the platinum trophy.
And maybe Borderlands Pre Sequel on the road to level 50.
Okay just got the credits on Animal Crossing, does this mean I’ve finished it 😂
@gollumb82 I might get Days Gone actually. Don’t expect a lot from it but might be pleasantly surprised...
@kyleforrester87 I’d say the first hour or two feels a bit slow but after that it really opens up and that’s when I started enjoying it immensely. I thinks it’s on sale for a good price at the moment.
I am slogging through, when I get the motivation to do so, the seemingly endless tutorials on MK11 since that's all I need for the plat. Getting close to completing my first play through on Lego DC Villains so will work on that, want to finally dig into Star Wars Fallen Order in the first planet but enjoying it so far & some PvZ Battle for Neighborville of course.
@Breekhead
Thank you for the kind words I got the game in the sale you mentioned. So far only the bear but it was intense indeed! The story can be hard-hitting at times and Deacon is a believable character.
I love how you hear the dirt fly around you when you throw a pipe bomb. Also, the way enemies react when you shoot them feels realistic (they stumble, fall, get pushed back)- all depending on the weapon you use. Really impressive stuff!
Guardians of the Galaxy: The TellTale Series (Windows 10) - I'm finally coming back to finish the last remaining episode today.
Fallout 3 (Games For Windows) - Still having fun doing random things.
Assassin's Creed: Altair's Chronicles HD (Windows Phone) - Heading into a Templar fortress.
@kyleforrester87
That's how I went in and the game grows on you with each passing hour. One complaint I have is that I play on Hard and still think there are too many resources available (petrol, scrap etc). I'll probably just bump the difficulty even higher next time. For the asking price at the moment you can't go wrong
Sorry for spamming posts guys but I decided against buying GR:Wildlands for the moment and I'm looking into buying Greedfall. Anyone played it? Some people say it's a game in the vein of Bioware of old, which is high praise in my book.
@gollumb82 You’ll find some really fun guns at Lost Lake to play around with. Yeah the actor Sam Witwer who plays Deacon is really good (not sure if you’ve watched Being Human) and does some hilarious streaming where he plays Days Gone as himself. The next boss is pretty intense too, good luck! 👍
@gollumb82 Not sure if you’re as crazy about zombie games as I am but Dying Light is on sale at the moment too and it’s crazy fun!
@Breekhead
Ditto for me Love zombie games! Thanks for the input, can't wait as the guns I've already got are fun. As for Dying Light- already completed it and can't wait for no 2.
Continue my Midgar journey in Final Fantasy 7 Remake.
I'm absolutely loving how they're adding so much backstory to characters in this remake, especially the Avalanche members.
Finished up Batman The Enemy Within and, although enjoyable, now moving on to more gameplay intensive experiences. In my pursuit of trying a racing game I started Horizon Chase Turbo (effectively know as “the other Horizon game”) and found it mindless fun. Not sure if I’ll stick with it very long but it’s something that I might drop in and out of. Otherwise, this weekend will be spent dusting off Assassin’s Creed Origins, where I’m probably 1/3 of the way through.
Uncharted 3 and some online racing fun in Team Sonic Racing! 🙂
Played the ffVII remake demo last night, amazing nostalgia hit, got to go buy that soon! Some more jedi fallen order and animal crossing. Going to try out the online later if anyone else is on
@playstation1995 I've been wondering about this game, thinking of getting it at some point but I've heard others say it's repetitive in a not so fun way and has some annoying music. Is that true, should I pick it up?
@gollumb82 I really wanted to love Greedfall. Bought it day one. Sadly couldn't finish it. Couldn't get past the lack of variation in enemies, I liked making choices in Dragon Age but with this game it was way too much dialogue. Also hearing the character constantly repeat "things are going to get dicey" got really annoying, but to each his own, you might like it.
Need a break from Nioh 2, stuck on snake boss...lol... Went back to Red Dead 2 and started over from the beginning. Doing some hunting and robbing today!!!
Not so much playing as getting my ass handed to me in MK11 after maybe a 20 year hiatus from fighters. Holy bejeezus I'm bad!
I'm playing work work work work. Decent game, kind of repetitive though...
Final Fantasy 7 remake and maybe a little Death Stranding. Who am I kidding, it's only going to be Final Fantasy 7 remake. I can't get enough.
@777Reigns. Its a great game.combat graphics.story.i like it.word up son
To all the commenters saying they havent received FF7R yet. Id check and make sure your copies havent been rendered "lost". Lots of distributors in the states are saying they have no stock and arent receiving any. Proof in that the deluxe edition boxed on Amazon is already 200. People are paying over retail for just a game disc. Makes me sad that some may never get a copy. However, a collectors dream. I bought digital and physical deluxe. My unopened deluxe is already worth more than what I payed for both combined
Edit: they are also all being refunded. Best Buy, Wal Mart, Gamestop and Amazon.
@777Reigns
Thanks! I know the game has its warts, but which one doesn't? If it's not Assassin's Creed Odyssey repetetive then I'll manage Guess I'll try it.
Good choice with RDR2. I keep thinking about going back to it. Such a special game.
Shadow of the tomb raider. 10 hours in and really enjoying it so far.
@R1spam id save yourself the trouble and buy digital. Physical is basically impossible to get and doesnt look to be changing
Finishing the excellent Persona 5 and then returning to AC Odyssey to clear off a few trophies.
@gollumb82 lol...I loved Odyssey.
I just need the last trophy for nioh 2 which is the damn tea utensils and it's so annoying. But once I plat the game, I'll finally get to start FF7 remake
GTA5 online it's double cash and to till 22nd just play it for fun lately. And Anthem between as well I don't mind it for a couple of hours here and there blowing up stuff with my Colossus Javelin
My second playthrough of FFVIIR. I might try and play some other stuff like working on the plat for Pirate Warriors 4. I also dropped several games like a hot rock when VIIR came out so I want to get back into them - namely Yakuza 0, MK11, Soul Calibur VI. Oh, and I still need to play my copy of Death Stranding.
Too many games, basically.
More Animal Crossing and AC: Odyssey. My brain gets confused when I see a butterfly go floating by in Odyssey.
Cleaning up.
Finishing Alyx (PC)
Finishing Nioh 2 (PS4)
Need to make space for Gears Tactics and Sakura Wars.
Persona 5 Royal and Ancestors: Humankind Odissey.
The first one is incredibly crazy, the second one is crazily incredible.
I’m an “Essential Worker” so I put in some mad hours this week. All I did was work, go home and watch some tv, and sleep. Put about 7 hours into Persona 5 Royal today, and it was nice. Planning on doing the same tomorrow. Stay safe everyone.
After sitting on it for awhile I started Days Gone this morning. Really liking it so far. Will also be playing a few rounds of Rocket League in between.
@Obbie169 Great combo! 👌
@gollumb82 I'm doing the same in Dirt rally 2 with the lancia. The rainy track in Spain is a pain in the a**, but I love it anyway.
@Stevenfins
I'm exactly in the same situation, haha! Guess I need to look up some setups for this car online to make it more manageable. I hear brake balance is key for RWD cars. Still, pain is an integral part of the Dirt Rally experience
A bit off-topic but after getting bored with D2, I'm editing and playing BBC movie mixtape - The MCU one. Brilliant tracks, Ramones, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, etc
Continuing my play through of every assasins creed game I’m up to unity but my god it’s taking its toll now
