Are you all healthy and well? It’s been a strange couple of months, hasn’t it? Hopefully, your PlayStation 4 has been keeping you occupied during these unprecedented times. As always, we want to know what you’ve been playing in your regularly scheduled WAYP.

I’m blitzing through my backlog at the moment and having a lot of fun. The current title keeping me busy is Dishonored 2, which I’ve had sealed on my shelf for approximately three years now. It’s fantastic, and I can’t believe I didn’t start it sooner.
Stephen Tailby, Associate Editor
My backlog is calling out to me, but until these reviews are done, it'll have to wait. On the agenda this weekend, I'll be playing a little more MotoGP 20 ahead of my write-up, as well as plenty more Streets of Rage 4.
Liam Croft, Senior Staff Writer
I'm going to be diving into Predator: Hunting Grounds this weekend for review. I haven't been especially impressed by the game after playing it at past conventions and during multiplayer trials, so let's hope it's been improved for launch. Look out for my verdict on the site next week.
Graham Banas, Reviewer
Alongside a review I'm working on, I don't see any way that I don't continue playing Rainbow Six: Siege. I've caught the bug full force again when it comes to Tom Clancy's premiere shooter, and the lockdown certainly gives me more opportunity to keep playing it.
What will be keeping you busy during your weekend inside, then? Pick your poison in the comments section below, and be sure to let us know how you've been using your lockdown time.

Almost finished my second playthrough of Resident Evil 3. Using a guide and still missed a charlie doll somehow. Maybe try and unlock the infinite rocket launcher for a speed run.
Still on a X-Com 2 campaign and also started a nostalgic run through the Nathan Drake collection.
I’m back in Ancient Egypt with Bayek exacting revenge. And fighting hippos.
@RogerRoger Sweet GIF, don't think I ever did that cool move.
I’ll be playing Nioh 2 and Animal Crossing. I was playing FF7R but I got to chapter 14 and suddenly my application was corrupted, so I had to reinstall the game. I now have no desire to go back and finish it. At first, the game was incredible but the more I played the more I was left very disappointed. It was certainly not worth the decade long wait.
Star Wars fallen order has just arrived in the post so I’ll be playing that this weekend.
I decided to get back to Dark Souls this weekend, since I took a break from it when I was writing my dissertation. I was in Anor Londo, and FINALLY got past those blasted archers, and everything was starting to look up. Unfortunately I'm now stuck on Ornstein and Smough as they perpetually rip my a new one. Every time I don't think the game could get any harder it finds a way to!
Honestly not sure. Just got platinum in Persona 5 royal. Absolutely fantastic game and the added music was so good. It’s nice getting free themes for completing the palaces and getting platinum it’s a nice touch.
Started days gone which is good but not something I can constantly play like persona so I’m looking for a second game to play. I’m at a loss as theirs so much, I got fallout 76, the 2 prototype games, AC odyssey, MW2 remastered, Catherine FB, dead island, xcom EU and I don’t know what to play.
The one single game I've been playing for the past month: Persona 5 Royal. I finished it last week and immediately restarted on NG+. Not ready to let the journey end.
What’s going on guys, I’m currently working on Mass Effect on PS3 and Silent Hill: Book of Memories on the Vita. Happy gaming everyone.
GTAV, Journey, Uncharted Collection, FIFA 20, Persona 5.
In the end I know I'll just keep moseying in the masterpiece of art RDR2 😆 On my 3rd run and I'm still finding surprises in the forest, snowy mountains, the wilderness in general. Every piece of clothing is carefully and uniquely designed. I mean I just crafted the Bison Gambler Hat and some Beaver Hat which look like the art department at R* took 5 working days to design each.
I'm finishing up AC Origins DLC it feels good to be back in ancient Egypt with Bayek & Senu.
Re3 and some of it's multiplayer, Persona royal
Broken Record noises..
Animal Crossing,
Stardew Valley,
Final Fantasy VII Remake..
Ring Fit Adventure.
Stay Safe everyone.
I'll be switching from a bit final fantasy 7 remake and animal croasing on switch 😊 good times to be at home, at least i get distracted
This weekend, I have been mostly eating... Bag of Dungeon: A Fantasy Adventure Game.
https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/265202/bag-dungeon-fantasy-adventure-game
I have weekend rotation this week and next at the hospital so not much. Last night I pulled Monster Hunter World off the shelf for the first time in a year and may do some more of that or go back to Star Wars Fallen Order which I'm about halfway through.
Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Strikers and some Persona 5
Enjoying Shadow of the Colossus a lot. Due to the repetitiveness Im only playin in small doses though. Picked up Spiderman and GTAV on sale in the last coupla wks so lookin forward to them too - never played a GTA game!!
@LN78
That's cool, I thought it was just on Xbox one. I'll download it later. Thanks for the heads up.
I'll be playing as the elegantly spoken Madame De Sardet, legate of the Congregation of Merchant, in Greedfall. It's a bit rough around the edges but I'm really enjoying it and the writing is surprisingly decent for a Spiders game.
I'll also be continuing my hard mode playthrough of FFVIIR.
Been playing through the Streets Of Rage games on the Pro, waiting for 4 to release. Also been on a cod flex at the moment, been playing world at war & modern warfare 3 on Xbox one S.
Aiming to get the platinum for Resident Evil 3. A bit of Animal Crossing in there too.
I started playing Gears of war 4 on the Xbox it's better than I thought it'd be. I'm also playing Dirt rally 2.0 - what a game.
@LN78
I actually love Pac-man. When I turn on my PS4 the first thing I do before I play any game is play a game or Ms Pac-man. I've got reasonably good at it.
@b1ackjack I'm tempted by X-Com Chimera Squad. I haven't gamed on my laptop for a long time but I'm a fan of the series so might get it. Be good to know your thoughts once you have played it some.
My copy of Trials of Mana arrived in the post this morning, so will probably start on that later today.
@Stevethejedi Same here, a Colossus a Day keeps the doctor away! After beating a Colossus I go to my comfort food of the past months: Team Sonic Racing, I love the online...it's not dead at all! 😃
Final fantasy 7 remake, just got to the area 5 slum, it's a quite nice place in there, doing all the side mission. Man aerith is adorb, and cloud looks strong but he is a big softie inside
Also playing zelda link awakening on switch.
Dragon quest 11 and shadow warriors 2.word up son
Just got a promotion at work, which was unexpected and I'm currently on cloud 9. So this weekend I'll be focusing on finishing Persona 5 and Dragon quest builders 2 which is highly addictive. Stay safe everyone.
I’m having an absolute blast with the Monster Energy Supercross game! Fired it up a few days ago to wind down after an intense SOMA session but before I knew it I found the perfect settings (just arcade enough) and was blasting through championships, signing sponsor deals and shopping for new exhaust pipes like a madman. Ofcourse the game has its flaws and is far from perfect, but it was the motorcross game I never knew I needed right now.
Should have the plat wrapped up this weekend, then it’s back to SOMA and Valkyria Chronicles Remastered.
Oh and 2064: Read Only Memories on Vita, which is excellent so far!
Oh boy for me it is going to be kicking into Resi 4 on PS4 and some more Gun on the 360.
@RogerRoger Memory like a sieve! It must have been the costume change that threw me. Good capture still.
I still need to play more FF7R but I’ll end up just playing The Show 20 as usual. If my mum’s in the mood she’s only got 3 chapters left of Uncharted 1 as well so now the question is whether she should go straight to Uncharted 2 or start Yakuza 0.
I might give Hunt: Showdown a go later if I can talk my mates in to buying it.
Other than that, FF7 and Nioh 2.
LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes (Vita) - This is my first time playing this one. I never played the first one, I hope there isn't any story I'm missing out on.
Fallout 3 (Games For Windows) - Still continuing my campaign to explore every inch of this awesome game.
Assassin's Creed: Altair's Chronicles HD (Windows Phone) - I'm finally at the final mission, but struggling with all of the archers on the roofs.
1. XCOM: Chimera Squad (PC)
2. Code Vein DLC
3. F1 2019
Finishing up FF7 Remake and wrecking those cartels BL3
Suffering my way through Resident Evil 5 with Sheva's useless AI, piling on the masochism with Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, doing the chapter challenges where you have to get a Master Ninja rank on each one and for some relaxation a bit of Sly Cooper Thieves in Time.
@Gatatog I recently finished P5 and felt the same way. Hard saying goodbye to Joker, Morgana, Ryuji and co.
☹️
Great game, slightly jealous that so many are getting to play the 'directors cut' that is Royal. I'm sure I will play it myself...at some point.
More Dirt 2.0, Dark Souls 3, Terraria and Sniper Elite 4 on rotation. Might throw something new into the mix as well, no idea what. I've got a weird urge to download Parappa again, and rap my way through this pesky lockdown
Danganronpa 2, it's been an excellent game so far. And I will also restart Persona 1. I enjoyed the first few hours of it, but I haven't played any more since then, and forgotten who everyone was and what happened. Also some Mega Man 8. I'm on the final level and the final boss, but it is a tricky battle.
And if there's time, I might attempt the limited time master rank Kulve Tarroth quest in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, and try out Pac-Man Championship Edition as it's free.
@TheArt Playing RDR2 now also and I get what you mean. I'm still in chpt. 2 enjoying hunting and random encounters. Wanna take my time. It's true that you never know what may happen. I tamed a really nice thoroughbred and if he dies I'm gonna be so sad.😢
I finished the campaign of InFamous First Light this morning and am getting stuck in to Far Cry 3 now. My backlog is secretly hoping we are in lockdown for another 6 months....
I restarted Nier Automata, I never finished it and I felt that was a disservice to such an amazing game. I started over on Xbox because I just treated myself to an Elite Series 2 controller and wanted to try it out.
The weather is really nice this weekend so my gaming will be limited.
I'll probably continue Final Fantasy 7 Remake. I'm enjoying the hell out of it.
Another weekend another opportunity to increase my master/hunter rank in monster hunter: Iceborne still not done with the story... so more of chasing monsters!
Doing my hard mode run of ff7 remake. That platinum trophy is mine.
Probably play a bit of AC Odyssey in the evening, but not much else. Have been playing a few rounds of That's You! with the wife and young kids (6 and 8) and it's been really fun.
I've just ordered one of those Retro Frenzy consoles with 22,400 games on so once that arrives I'll be playing some old faves for sure.
Dragon quest Xl awesome game!
Sadly at the end of chapter 17 on Remake. After that i will probably be reading a lot. No game is going to be good enough for a while😕. I grew up with the original and know it inside and out. Those characters are my favorite in all of gaming. I honestly wished it was a novel i could read lol.
Well after a week of not knowing what to play, I finally decided on a 2nd play through of red dead 2 forgotten how beautiful it is, just arrived in valentine then just going around on the house admiring the views, this will be great as I have a week booked off work and wanted something to get lost in and it was between this and death stranding, but I had only finished DS a few months ago so thought it might be a bit too soon for a 2nd play through. Still got greedfall in the back of my mind but think rd2 is just the thing atm so will leave greedfall for now
In the morning:
1. Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction PS3
2. The Sims 3 PS3
In the afternoon after lunch:
1. Pokemon Ultra Moon 3DS
2. Pokemon Omega Ruby 3DS
3. Miracle Tunes 3DS
4. Animal Boxing NDS
After dinner time:
Finished Ratchet & Clank : Tools of Destruction just now. 😄
Started Control. I am only a few hours in, but really enjoying it so far.
Samurai Shodown and I’m going back to Jump Force to try and platinum it. And more Animal Crossing on Switch.
@Arugula Not that I am aware of - there was a 360 release though little more than a PS2 port but no PS3 re-release and not backward compatible.
@BranJ0 I was playing Dark Souls too a few days ago, but it is still too hard for me. Cannot find way how to beat basic undead with shield and spear without serious problems... don't speak of bigger knights with big sword or hammer, they kill me on one hit and are too fast. In Demon Souls I've pushed quite normally to third boss (than left game because of other games) but Dark Souls seems to me much harder. I've farmed to lvl 20, but it cannot see some difference. I'm stuck on castle, big raven brought me from asylum to some mountains. I should ring two bells, one somewhere below and second on castle. I went up the mountain cross the bridge to castle and there im stuck on that bonfire. I've pushed thru into big tower, but on top there is a boss and down is knight with huge hammer.
Right now I'm playing Shadows of Colossus (13th colossus)
@777Reigns It's just wonderful how you get attached to your horse. Anytime I find even a more beautiful horse than mine in the wild, I'm left with a difficult choice, in the end I just stick to my horse and leave that wild horse for another time or a new playthrough. Few days ago I found a lovely brown Hungarian Half-bred I had never before seen, I'll definitely go for it sometime. But trust there's a lot of hidden things in the dense forests and pretty much everywhere. I found some treasure following the trails MYSELF and I'm real rich this time, stocked up on a lot of provisions and left Camp to do some deep exploring!
I'm still playing Days Gone. Taking my time with it and enjoying the little things, like looting a random house in the outskirts, wondering about the people who lived there before sh** went down, as Deacon would say. Great game which proves that critics/reviewers can't be treated as the ulimate judges of games.
I'll be playing The Witch and the Hundred Knight, plus I'll be checking out the Late Shift.
Mirror's edge catalyst, AC odyssey, rocket league
Just everspace , that game is layered!
@Rudy_Manchego enjoy gun!! Played on the ps2 back in the day and have very fond memories.
Played some animal crossing earlier and kk slider finally turned up
@Rudy_Manchego
Yup, Gun used to be considered a poor man's RDR, but it's a really good game with a captivating plot and great ost- still listen to its main theme from time to time. Enjoy!
I tried Journey since it's free; even if this is not my first "move-left-stick-to-win" game, it felt quite boring.
I'll try it again tomorrow, maybe it's just me...
Trying to finish FF7 Remake, just finished chapter 14. Aiming to finish it during this week's lockdown. Great game but it's annoying that they feel they have to put illuminated blue arrows everywhere to point the way. We get it, we're gamers.
Been blitzing Mortal Kombat 11 too - stunning game, the graphics are incredible and gameplay is top notch
Bought Total War : Warhammer for a tenner on Steam so I'll try and learn how to play that (and fail miserably lol )
FFVIIR just started chapter 16, spent a good while doing the pull up challenge before I moved on to finish chapter 14. Freaking love this game. Stay safe and have a good weekend everyone!
@KIERONOO good going on persona 5 r man. Ive leterally started it yesterday and just got past where i did in P5 (Just investigating the Japanese artist) at about 20 hours. Also hope to get the plat as i know you can do it in 1 sitting. Loving the game so far.
Shadow of the Colossus and Resident Evil 2 mainly.
Battlefield V, AC Syndicate and Tropico 6
Trials Of Mana, which has been quite enjoyable so far & going to buy Castlevania Requiem on the big in japan sale for some SOTN goodness. Have a good one all!
@gollumb82 @R1spam I remember playing Gun and then Read Dead Revolver and Gun was so much better. It had aged but as a narrative story it works well and really feels like a western.
I actually tried playing Stadia given its 2 months free trial and well yeah it's probably the best advert for just buying a console I've ever seen. First of all I tried to play on my laptop and it was just unplayable, I either had a completely blurry screen or my inputs weren't registered for several seconds before sending my car (in Grid) careening straight off the track sideways. For maybe 30 seconds at a time it actually worked well and this on a 70mbs ethernet connection, after a couple of hours messing with settings and reading online troubleshooting guides it made no difference as my signal bounced from excellent to unstable.
So I then tried on mobile using Wifi on the same network and the difference was night and day, with excellent picture quality and only the odd minor hiccup and I can only presume this is closer to the experience using Chromecast on the TV. However there was still a noticable input lag, Grid was quite playable but felt heavy, fine aiming on Serious Sam was tricky and Thumper really showed it up as the lag isn't consistent. So sometimes I was pressing X before I had to to compensate and it worked but occasionally the lag dropped a little or got worse.
This is the main problem, as I could probably cope with the picture quality dropping on occasion but at no point did it feel as good to play as anything native on console or PC
@carlos82 I guess stadia is for someone who has never owned a console in their life and still it's a terrible advertisement for gaming in 2020.
Mainly finishing off the last of the AC Odyssey DLC's.
Got a steering wheel some weeks ago so Im mostly playing project cars 2. And Im playing Elite Dangerous when Im not racing. Just visited Colonia for the 1st time and now on my way to galactic center
