Saints Row The Third is coming to PlayStation 4 next month by way of a remaster, but that doesn't mean the series' next instalment has been put on hold. As previously reported, Saints Row 5 (or whatever it ends up being called) is happening, and the official Twitter account has reiterated that, yes, the game is still in development.
As far as we know, the title is still set to be revealed in 2020, although given the coronavirus situation, we wouldn't bank on everything going exactly as planned. Hopefully we hear more soon.
Meanwhile, Saints Row The Third Remastered is actually being developed by Sperasoft, not usual Saints Row developer Volition. We can assume Volition is all-in on Saints Row 5 at this point.

I honestly expected more Saints Row this gen, the lack of a new GTA meant there was a serious gap in the market that Watch Dogs 2 and Mafia 3 almost filled but didn’t have the humour. Good to see more potential PS5 games in the pipeline though.
I'd love if SR5 was a launch title for PS5. Although SR3 was fun it's probably the worst of the series in my book.
I was a fan of 4 at the time. I bought Agents of Mayhem on release but found it to be pretty bad overall, I never completed it. Be interested to see how SR5 could turn out.
Excited to see what they do with the fifth instalment. I have a real soft spot for 3 and 4 and as much as I wanted to like Agents of Mayhem, it just didn’t cut it for me. Hopefully we’ll see more of this soon!
@residentmeevil I did too but it was simply ok
I'd like it if they went back to the original 2 games
No super powers please. The SR mindset can easily say it was all a dream and have them wake up after SR2.
Saints row 2 was easily the best. It went downhill from there.
