Assassin's Creed Valhalla Next-Gen Gameplay Revealed

I watched that live and am still confused if it’s actually gameplay or not. I anticipated a trailer after that one to show gameplay.

Seriously? I expect a gameplay reveal like Origins and all we get is an in game trailer? Kinda misleading tbh. Also all the games shown doesn't feel next gen. Overall a 5/10 for me

The entire Xbox thing was set up as "Xbox Series X gameplay" and... Well, not a great start to next-gen is it?

Do you think the new consoles will have videogames or just prerendered cutscenes? lol

That show was a major disappointment.
Only that Medium game looked nice. The AC "gameplay" reveal was a joke..

That AC gameplay was amazing loved almost as much as Elden Ring Gameplay :3

If there is actual gameplay in there, they certainly do a good job at not making it apparent where it is.

That was Microsoft’s first misstep for me. They were pushing and pushing smart delivery which for me means all it’s games will be trapped on last Gen stuck with HDD limitations

That trailer delivered exactly what I expected; nothing.

Weaksauce. After Sony's silence, hopefully they capitalize on this misstep.

One thing is clear...Kojima is licking his chops! If Microsoft's "gameplay" reveal is any indication, his console generation has arrived!

Yeah that was no gameplay in that trailer at all but it did say at the start that everything in the trailer is representative of expected Series X gameplay, if that’s the case then wow Valhalla is going to look amazing on SX.

Apparently Medium at least is next gen only

Such a woeful event, none of the games wowed me away sadly and the only game I was hyped for in AC Valhalla was basically a strip tease of disappointment.

I'm unbiased and have been very critical of Sony but I truly believe that the likes of Death Stranding, Days Gone and TLOU2 look better than the visuals of these "next gen" titles.

Sony will blow them out of the water now, this was Xbox's chance to widen the gap before Sony came through.

@Stragen8 i don't think it was game play as in someone playing the game live, i think it was scripted moments BUT all in engine so there is a good chance that's what the game actually looks like

@feral1975 it can't be because MS said the Series X wont have any exclusive titles in the first years, all games will also be on XB1 at least

unless they have changed that stance

@Athrum When I heard that trademark Silent Hill flavor music, I thought for sure it was a new Silent Hill game.

Looks like other studios will have to pick up on Konami's slack.

@FullbringIchigo Xbox Game Studios (i.e. Microsoft published) titles won't be exclusive to Series X. Third-party developers are free to do as they choose.

"Ultimately, that's a developer choice. And to be clear, there will be titles that are unique or exclusive to the Xbox Series X generation. The Medium is a great example of that."

Still feels a bit to me like playing nazis invading Poland.

I dunno if its gameplay, but if that's gameplay I want to see what it looks like with ps5's tech in comparison.

Kind of excited about the historical tourism aspect with this one. I live in York, which was Jorvik in those days. Intrigued to see if / how it's represented.

@GamingFan4Lyf and since the PS4 has over 100m units out in the wild, if I was a publisher I'd be pushing for all currently in development games to be cross platform across xb1 and XBSX, and PS4 and PS5.

It's something we saw happen last gen already, but it would make more sense this gen given the current situation and uncertainty about how many consoles can be put on shelves, and how many customers will be able/are willing to upgrade after such a tough year.

That’s clearly an “in-engine trailer” and not actual gameplay. Ubisoft is notoriously bad when it comes to doing this (when will they realize that gamers tend to appreciate actually seeing what it is they are buying more than flashy trailers)

There was a couple of games that peaked my interest but this should of been a sizzle real at best not a whole next gen showcase

Looks like current gen titles, but it's to be expected, since they wont going to push hardware to max in the first year.. Otherwise next gen consoles won't last for full cycle without refresh every 3 years. Just like this gen. I still wish for PS5 Pro at the launch

I'm really sick and tired of this stupid, useless things. They hyped up this presentation with promises of actual gameplay but they just couldn't help it, eh? That's pretty slimy.
