Yesterday, developer One More Level reintroduced Ghostrunner with a new trailer that confirmed the first-person, cyberpunk take on ninjas would still be coming to PlayStation 4 later this year. It was a quick reminder that the game still looks really cool, but PC players actually got the chance to go hands on with a demo. Footage of that is now hitting the internet, and Ghostrunner looks even better in action.
Coming courtesy of Alanah Pearce, who commentates over the video, we get a 10-minute glimpse of what to expect from the full experience. And it certainly looks set to be one speedy, intense, action-packed game. Along with wall-running, sliding, and slow-motion dashes, you'll also come equipped with a grappling hook to help you traverse large gaps and complete jumps you'd otherwise miss. Meanwhile, combat appears to revolve around one-hit kills which immediately dismember enemies thanks to your trusty katana.
It all looks really cool, making the video above a well worth watch. Ghostrunner will launch on PS4 at some point in 2020, so expect more information soon. Do you like the look of the game? Sharpen your blade in the comments below.

Yeah, this looks pretty awesome.
Yep,definitely awesome looking!
Interesting but for me the first person view totally ruins it.
@SegaBlueSky same here, no rational explanation for it either, just ruins it for me too.
Looks like the devs were playing Max Payne and mirrors edge whilst watching trailers for The Bouncer (I was so so so looking forward to that at the time, sad days) wont rule it completely out yet, but wont be a day 1 for me.
@curriemonster In the same vein, why should it be third-person?
Very pretty, but looks fairly basic and tedious to me, if that's all the gameplay is. One-hit kills, instant death, starting from exactly where you were, limited moves... good for speedrunners, doesn't seem to be much of a challenge at all.
Dont really think I'd like the one-hit death mechanic. Seems like trial and lots of error will be the name of the game. Looks pretty fun to zip around, though
@LiamCroft like I say, no real rational explanation for it, just a personal thing I guess.
I feel the first person you lose that peripheral aspect to the environment.
Then again, if all games were the same, there would be no progress
Looks really fun but I think it'll get boring quite quickly, same happened to me with other indie titles like Superhot.
Looks really pretty but the gameplay looks very repetitive and could get boring quickly
One hit kill combat 100% turned me off of this. The traversal looks great, but insta kill isn’t for me at all.
