Not tempted by any of those.
Tempted by PES for a fiver, but think i'll wait to see what else they add for days of play
@Rob_230 That definitely seems like the best course of action to take here.
@Rob_230 I'd say a fiver for PES is a brilliant deal, especially as the EURO 2020 DLC is being added next week, for free.
What's PES like? I've only ever really dabbled in FIFA, does it not have licensed teams or what, is there a downside to getting it over FIFA?
@MickOnYourFace In terms of pure gameplay, PES is superb – but it lacks the presentation of FIFA. You can download all the club names, kits, logos, sponsors, competition data, etc. online and install through a USB drive. It's very easy to do and then you get what is, in my opinion, the best playing football game available with all the trimmings. If you're interested, you can't really go wrong for a fiver. (Also, I believe there's a free demo available. Might be worth giving this a go before pulling the trigger.)
@TrueAssassin86x Yep mine is the same and has been like it for a couple of weeks now. I just use the store from the ps app and it show the discounts on there.
I'm tempted to buy Fallout 76 (yes, with all its issues - I still love the feeling of existing in such a world) and Jedi: Fallen Order!
Persona 5 is £9.99/$7.99?
Hours and hours of style force fed to my eyes for that price?! Yes please.
@Rob_230 ohhhhh nice find. Platted 18 and 19, although the gameplay was a step down in 19 it was still fun.
Damn you Sony. Thought I had a clear run until Got!!!
'Discount' on Shenmue III. Selling a ten quid game for twenty-two.
@MickOnYourFace Pes is a better experience, the on field action is more tactical imo. Passing is absolutely key.
However it was changing, 18 was a massive high point - 19 had strange nerfs gameplay wise online like you see in Fifa with scripting. But a huge amount of fun.
If you ever get into retro gaming International super star soccer 98 on the N64 is amazing and Pes 4-6 on the the Ps2 / xbox are among the greatest single player sports modes in master league. Great games.
Sensible world of soccer has a freeware 2020 version, worth a go but really difficult to play (tougher than my memories of being decent) and is a huge step away from the gameplay of fifa.
I personally think that PES of this year is horrible and will take Fifa any day of the week.
@tomassi @themcnoisy i succumbed and picked it up. I haven't played PES since...4 i think on the PS2 when i was at uni.
The licences and lower english leagues always prompted me to get fifa. But as my team got relegated to the national league and i can no longer play as them, this seems a good opportunity to see what PES is about these days.
What i have briefly played so far seems good fun!
@Rob_230 I like to get PES day one, and then usually succumb and get FIFA when it's dropped below £20, just to have a change during the year as neither game is perfect so it's nice to play both IMO.
There's no doubting FIFA has PES beat on everything but gameplay, but that's a pretty important part isn't it! Glad you like it, can't go wrong for the cost of a pint anyway! And as of next week you can create your own EURO 2020 as well, to make up for the disappointment of not having the real thing!
For someone interested in Persona 5, is it a better deal to grab it on sale at $7.99 or wait a couple months for a price drop on Persona 5 Royal?
@Jake3103 you’ve convinced me. I didn’t know they’d made it simple. Last time I tried was ps3 and you couldn’t group copy and took ages to do.
