Indie developers really do love to resurrect old visual styles and gameplay mechanics, don't they? The latest in a long, long line of games to do exactly that is Project Warlock, an upcoming PlayStation 4 title arriving next month that looks like it's been pulled straight out of the 90s. Jakub Cisło is the single person behind the project, which to be fair, gives you the chance to wield a quadruple shotgun. It's out on 9th June 2020.
Taking to the PlayStation Blog, Cisło aims to replicate the feeling of "landing a well-placed shotgun shell in the guts of a demon frantically reaching its claws at you, or the excitement of finding a secret area full of gold and much-needed ammo." DOOM and Duke Nukem 3D were obvious inspirations, but it's the art style which attempts to separate this copy-cat from the rest of the pack. You'll get to explore 60 hand-crafted levels across five different locations, all the while upgrading your character with stat boosts and new weapon abilities.

This looks decent! I love the art style / colors. I’m definitely going to keep an eye out for reviews.
I saw this on Steam a few months back and it immediately caught my attention!
It looks and sounds awesome, so I'm glad it's being ported to consoles as well! I'll certainly buy it someday!
I dunno, I have it on Steam but it’s just not particularly fun to play. You always feel underpowered which takes away from the fun of running at full pelt blasting things.
I WANT this game...
