Update: After accidentally leaking its own announcement yesterday, Bungie has confirmed that it will be revealing the next chapter in the Destiny 2 saga on Tuesday 9th June 2020 at 9am PT / 5pm BST.
Original story: It looks like Bungie will finally be taking Guardians to Europa in the next piece of DLC for Destiny 2. The location which appeared in numerous pieces of concept art before the franchise's launch back in 2014 has been teased in a now-deleted Instagram post. Alongside the post, the developer said an unveiling would take place on 9th June. Check out the small clip of footage below.
"The next chapter of Destiny 2 is almost here. Tune in for the unveiling at 6pm CEST on June 9", the caption reads.
Players have been waiting for Europa to be playable in the Destiny franchise for an extremely long time and it's something which is needed off the back of a poor season. The community has criticised Bungie for a poor showing as of late, coupled with story beats that have led nowhere and an end-game tied to bounties and public events rather than raids and challenging content. It'll be interesting to see whether or not this latest piece of DLC makes things better.
Since the Instagram post has now been deleted, the developer is probably planning on officially confirming this livestream nearer the time. Are you still playing Destiny 2? Let us know in the comments below.

Not playing at the moment. This has turned into Season of the Backlog, given the current state of the game.
I agree with shafedog, first Destiny expansion I won't buy at release. I don't like to be obligated to play something I payed for because some items/content is going to disappear. Season passes are almost as bad as loot boxes, in my opinion.
Not for me sadly. Had to bail on it a fair while ago, as it had become monotonous, and new content didn't look very exciting. From what I hear, it hasn't improved a whole lot since then.
I quit even the pc version when it went cross play, they release shadowkeep and then you can buy that and all the other dlc or buy it as an upgrade now if you bought either one for I think at the time it was £40 you then now have to buy this dlc probably for £25 maybe less maybe more.
Bungie actually managed to make the game worse without Activision!
Lets see if its smaller than Mercury
Bungie was at their best when they weren’t trying to make an MMO style first person shooter. They need to just stop and go back to making games like Halo.
I absolutely love Destiny (1 & 2) and used to log in daily and enjoyed every minute collecting every exotic etc but once the season of the Drifter arrived I just lost my love for it I didn't like Gambit anyway so a whole DLC focused on this probably didn't help but I haven't been back since. I will be back for Destiny 3 when ever that happens - on my PS5 hopefully
Bums me out to see so few comments on this post, with all of them being... less than stoked. I'm certainly not a Destiny fanboy, and haven't played in a VERY long time, but I always want to believe in it. Clearly that is not felt by others. Shame 😔
Yeah right.
As usual they try to Hype with cutscenes but then when you play, nothing really happens.
Better not fall into the hype and just wait and see.
@PJ5 they didn't make it worse, they just added more garbage and it didn't get any better
Great but i wish the Raid would have Randoms anyone to play with.
And i wish it would set you up with anyone in multiplayer instead of you have to have a Team even though some people are done with the game and others have moved on.
I'm really surprised they haven't delayed this announcement, like so many other game companies have, given the state of the world right now.
Hyped cant wait for this been 6 years in the making.
