Pragmata is pretty far away, announced to be coming to PlayStation 5 in 2022. Still, it's offered up an incredibly intriguing debut trailer to tide us over until Capcom is ready to share more. A man wearing a space suit of some sort walks through what appears to be a typical city, discovering a young girl and a holographic cat. Then, the sky glitches out, turns out to be a screen, and a satellite comes crashing through. The man and the girl are pulled upwards, and they avoid the satellite with a protective ball of cords. Then they're on the moon.
It's a wild trailer, but did you know that Capcom released an extended cut? You can watch it above. It doesn't bring much new to the table, but it's as good an excuse as any to watch the video again. The extended trailer spends a little more time establishing the environment, and shows one or two subtler details, like the girl trying to pet the holo-cat.

It looks great and weird. I am in!
Very intrigued by this one. Has some Death Stranding vibes for sure.
The hair on the girl though, I assume it looks deliberately bad for a reason. Everything else though is top notch.
@Col_McCafferty yea the hair does look a bit weird. This does look good though, looking forward to playing this one.
@Col_McCafferty It stands out so much, because the rest of the graphics are incredible. I assume she's a robot/android as she ends up on the moon at the end. So maybe they wanted it to look fake. But it's RE engine, and Mia's long hair in RE7 is really bad too, so might just be a crappy system for long hair.
@phil_j spot on about Mia's hair. I think the engine itself just doesn't handle hair physics well at all
Thought the holographic cat looked fantastic, very interesting game potentially.
Hi there fellow gamers. It´s a new IP from Capcom of all places, so that´s very interesting. They have so many different franchises that so many people want them to tackle, via new numbered sequels or remakes, but instead, they went for something new. Nice to see Capcom taking risks again. Hope it´s a good one. Cheers and happy gaming to us all
@RaZieLDaNtE completely agree. A new IP from Capcom is great news! Bring it on!
It’s definitely something to keep an eye out for. Probably be awhile to we see an actual gameplay trailer.
This game is certainly something different. It's got my curiosity.
At this point I'd say Pragmata is at the same level as Deep Down... and that game never happened.
I'll reserve judgement for now because we saw nothing of gameplay, and quite frankly what we did see could be a Digital Art graduates final project.
I thought it was Dead Space at first with the helmet style. but this video has me very interested in this game love the vibe.
@Daleaf I think it looks odd because it is supposed to look wet (it's raining). So it is kind of gelled together.
When she is on the moon at the end it looks finer and moved more.
Slow day in work for me...
Haha, just sing the bugsnax song makes the day go faster lol, man that song has been stuck in my head since last week lol. That's a good point with the hair though, good use of your work time lol
Okay so they're in some kind of Earth simulation that's INSIDE the Moon. The girl is most definitely a robot. From what I found, pragmata is greek for "things", and "ta pragmata" means loosely "transcendent realities, noetic entities, real beings". So thinking that these 'simulated beings'--or perhaps the astronaut is "real"--are going to leave their simulation and interact with Earth, whatever that entails. Very interested in this one, to say the least!
@phil_j I thought Mai's hair was fine tbh. I mean it isn't too notch but it isn't horrible
