Planet Coaster: Console Edition was announced for PlayStation 4 all the way back in November of last year, but we've heard little of it since. Made by the highly regarded Frontier Developments, creators of Jurassic World Evolution, this theme park management game was a big success with the PC crowd, and is finally coming to consoles in holiday 2020.
With this new trailer comes some extra exciting news, however: Planet Coaster will be launching on both PS5 and PS4. It seems the reason we've been waiting for more information is because the developer has secretly been working on a next-gen version as well as the promised PS4 port.
There's no release date other than holiday 2020, so presumably the game will arrive at or near PS5's launch in the same period. Will you be building rollercoasters on PS5 or PS4? You must be this tall to enter the comments section below.

Brilliant, I love this game. I have fond memories of playing Theme Park World and building rollercoasters that chucked civilians into the other player’s park, thus killing them on their land and affecting them negatively. Hopefully this means Planet Zoo’s coming too, my mum’s been dying to play it and I’m mostly too busy on my laptop to give her a go.
Are they the same Sku? Or do you have to buy both?
Can you make the chips extra salty and build a drinks shop next door?
Awww it was originally slated to come out Summer 2020 so this actually a delay. But I'll add this gem to my ps5 launch library. I actually was a bit worried about it being optimized for ps4. Supposedly it struggles with a lot of PCs.
ahh was wondering how this was going ..........I might skip PS5 Loads and loads of top Quality games on PS4 Roll on PS6.
Besides Clank They bought nothing ground breaking to PS5.
As every ones games will be costing more on PS5 I will be paying less and less I love these next generation consoles I never bothered with the PS3 far too many games on PS2.
Guess I'll be getting it for ps5, maybe there's a cross buy.... doubt it though.
Here's hoping for smell-o-vision for those freshly made doughnuts.
This should be good
Sweet, will definitely pick up for PS5. I'd actually prefer Planet Zoo though...
They've said holiday 2020 since the start, so I don't get how some think there's a delay...
I have this game on PC and I have a GTX 1080 And an i5 3.3gHz CPU 16 GB RAM and this game barely hits 30 FPS and starts tanking when the park hits about 1000 peeps. I can’t imagine this game running well at all on a PS4 especially since my computer is more powerful than a PS4.
I absolutely love this game on PC, put over a hundred hours in, but seeing how other PC centric games like Cities Skylines and Kerbal Space Program turned out on consoles, I don't have a ton of hope.
