The new design and colors are super slick and futuristic!

Shorten the "wings" and have them curved and flow with the console body and then I am sold.

I really like the white, I have a white Pro and prefer it to my old black Slim. It just looks snazzier imo.

The black and red really looks like an Alienware PC case, more than the standard white lol.

I'll take the Cylon controller and Kitt car.

Love the white and black. Only decision is physical discs or digital download version.

doesn't bother me, its a games console. it plays game doesn't walk down a fashion show lol

The only thing growing on me about the white and black is the regret i pre-ordered.
I don't expect Sony to listen though.

I agree with mutt, love the design. If the price differential is big enough I’ll be going digital version. I buy all my games digitally anyways as I game share with a buddy to halve my game costs, and In Canada if you’re buying day one digital saves like 12$ per game.

That all black version looks pretty good, looks better than the actual white/black colour console.

Massive fan of the spiderman one. This console design seems perfect for some cracking special editions

I absolutely love the white design though. Its so different to what we are used to. The creativity on display stands us in good stead for the games we will recieve next gen

I prefer the white one. I actually always wanted the white PS4/Pro but they always got released so late.

Nah, two tone all the way, new design grows on me every time I see it. Nice to have options though.

From the ps2 era I owned only black PlayStations. I want a white one now so bring it on Sony, I love it!

Every time I see these pictures, I understand better why Sony decided to go white. It just looks way better and smarter. And this is coming from a guy who wanted everything jet black...

It just looks boring in all black really. I wonder if you can change the sides tho and then you could put any colour you want on it. That would be cool 😎

I want a black one! And for the love of God make it matte from the get go. My launch PS3 was a scratch and fingerprint magnet. PS4, same story... The revised version got it right, eventually.

Black console for me, also must have disk, Physical is much cheaper in the uk and 90% of my ps4 collection is on disk

I would prefer a black PS5 as the white in 2-3 years will look like piss yellow 🤷

it looks way better in black compared to white, i'm not really a fan of white consoles anyway.

@johnny30 many buying this for themselves are adults that have living spaces that they rather don’t look like a child’s playroom.

Mind you, I DO have no children yet a room full of LEGO, but my living room, I try to keep looking a bit more adult.

I hope Sony does consider an all-black console. White consoles get discolored and are too easily scuffed up.

If it's easy enough to get into I might just spray paint the shell myself. It looks so much better in black

@Tharsman yeah that’s the point. My Mrs. can’t tell the difference between the PlayStation and the digital receiver, and I’d rather keep it that way. Really don’t need the ‘ohh look at you with your fancy new toy’ comments.

I love the white. Black is boring to me as all the consoles ive ever had was black, except the x360. That's just me though.

Nope on the black, white looks 10X better.

Black or white, it is ugly and unappealing as hell.

I like the two tone design, all black just seems boring. Swap the white and black around, black outside white in the middle would look slick.

It looks like the phantom from 2004.
The future doesnt look like a modem wrapped in 2 sheets of paper.
You can like it, but it's not futuristic.

Woke up today to find it was not a nightmare i had. No, that is the design and color scheme Sony decided on for the PS5.

It does look better all black. I can see huge sales of make your PS5 look pretty items. I can probably do it myself with the various saws, sand paper, and screw drivers i have. I just need some black paint.

All i want is a basic rectangular box in black matte or satin finish with maybe some grey trim.

But hey, if you think black and white go together and it will stick now when it didnt back then, you are free to do so.
That is not how i envision the future to look like. The black versions with blue or red lights are the ones that look sleek to me.
Sandwich? Not so much.

Wish i could get it with the middle slice as super shiny/reflective jet black and the outer parts as a matte black/dark matte grey with a violet/purple light!

Of course Sony will release in black. They did with PS4 so why wouldn’t they do it again?
Not everyone likes white consoles, I much prefer black

The fact that this is something people are debating is just.....silly. The comments further cement this. It's a game console. How it looks is irrelevant as long as it plays games and functions well.

I've got a white PS4 Pro sitting next to a black PS3, WiiU and a Switch quite nicely. In fact it looks quite eye catching and people comment on it all the time. Sorry, but you don't know what you're talking about here until you see it.

If "white and black don't go well together" then Zebra's are pretty screwed.

Look... I'm willing to concede these look sexy and I would like one... But... So much money for such a limited thing. Stadia is going to be upgraded in line with these consoles and it's only support that stands in the way of it getting the games. Why blow so much money for something so temporary when you can spend next to nothing for something infinite?... If you have a good reliable 35Mbps It's crazy to do this! Even for a handful of exclusives.
I just feel blocked tbh.

As much as its gunna kill me to not buy at launch, I can't have that white one in my entertainment center, it will just look to much out of place for my liking. The design is fine, but not the color, we should have the choice of an all black version at launch. Im sad really. #ps5
