Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Brings the Duo Back on PS5

So hyped love me some Ratchet 🙂

Well unless they can pull something major out in the next few months, Microsoft are on life support , Sony have blowen them out of the water.

Better not be 30fps, controls are compromised compared with the older games

Can't see it, next gen games really should be running at more than 60 , 120 is ideal

This was the star of the show. Actual next gen gameplay. Not corporate words, but a visible step up. Looked amazing. This for me is the reason to get a PS5.

THIS is a real video game! Not like those interactive movies Sony has been pumping out lately.

@rjc-32 I take 4K/30fps with better graphics any day.
But they better have 2 modes for people who prefer 4k/60fps. on 1080p I am sure you would simply get 60fps.

Nice to see as Insomniac's first 1st party game. Also happy it's a brand new game and not another remake.

@suikoden well we will have to wait and see. I’ll believe it when I see it, I hope so! I highly doubt any AAA games will be running at 120fps, the hardware won’t be powerful enough

OMG I Can’t wait!!! Is this a launch game? My biggest problem with the PS5 - which I will be getting day 1 - is that if there are several awesome launch games I won’t know what to play first! Modern day problems eh? 😉

@tatsumi fair enough, each to their own. I would always cut graphical settings to maximise framerates, controls are much better at 60 over 30. It’s not always that simple to just allow a “switch” between 30 and 60, particularly if game logic is tied to 30. It’s down to the devs.

This was arguably the best looking game of the event.

Buying a PS5 just for this, I love this franchise

I loved this series back on the PS2, I kinda missed out on the PS3 games. It’s time I get back into it.

Yes, I'm really excited for this one. I just hope they pack the game with plenty of exploration and humour.

Definitely the most impressive showing, from the SSD dimension jumping to the lavish use of ray traced reflections, can't wait for this one

This looked insane! The i/o and SSD have to be putting in work here for those dimensional transitions to completely different looking areas. It just looked gorgeous overall.

@suikoden Lets start at solid 60 FPS because almost nobody has a 120 hz TV and come on you dont want to play this on a crappy monitor.

The rift element looks very intriguing to me. I said a few months back that the next god of war needs to have a boss battle where you teleport to different t worlds as it happens. Similar to how we see here. Imagine how epic it would be

Hi there fellow gamers. I never played This series(shame on me, I know), but this looks ridiculously beautiful. Amazing animations and graphics, the rift elements, clearly showing the power off the proprietary SSD. Man, impressive stuff realy. Gonna keep my eye on this. Cheers and happy gaming to us all

I have feeling the part where Clanks says “where are we” is Jak and Daxter universe , I’m probably over thinking but would be cool nod towards the game like they used to do

I’m intrigued, even if I have never played the series. It was the only game in the entire show that made true innovative showcase use of the SSD. All everything else just seems to, at most, use SSD for faster travel or shorter loading times.

My day one buy, just like ratchet and clank ps4

@DeepSpace5D Yea! Sony definitely flexing that SSD muscle here! Really going to revolutionize the gaming scene. I've never played Ratchet and Clank before. I might have to get in to it.
