AA powerhouse Focus Home Interactive is once again proving the level of diversity it brings to the table with Othercide, a tactical RPG that sort of looks like a blend of XCOM 2 and Divinity: Original Sin. The publisher has just announced a release date for PlayStation 4 of 28th July 2020, meaning this stylish action title is just over a month away.
From developer Lightbulb Crew, the game is described as a "tactical-RPG horror game set in a dark and mysterious universe". You can get a quick taste of what that looks like in action in the trailer above. "Combat is an intricate dance of spectacular actions and counters: plan ahead of time and set up impressive chains of abilities to outsmart the enemy using the Dynamic Timeline System. Fight in epic boss battles against the sources of Suffering - dread creatures pulled from the worst of Humanity’s crimes against itself."

It looks good! Maybe I will buy this.
This looks great! Wish there were more games in this category. Is this going to be available as a physical copy? Or download (steam) only?
I dig it. I am a big fan of tactical games.
After so long spent in lockdown I find the idea of sacrificing my daughters strangely appealing
Everything about the game seems awesome, except the gameplay itself. Hopefully there's a demo so I could see if there's a chance I could get into it.
