Sucker Punch recently renewed the domain infamousthegame.com, sparking fresh hope for a return to the superhero series. The developer has been beavering away on Ghost of Tsushima for a large part of the generation, which is finally slated to release next week. However, the inFAMOUS franchise has a small but faithful fanbase, and many of its most vocal followers are clamouring for a return.
Of course, it’s not impossible: there’s still plenty of unfinished business in that universe, and lots of ideas the Seattle-based studio could explore. A domain name renewal is not evidence of anything, however, and the studio will probably be waiting to see how its Feudal open worlder fares before it commits to any potential PlayStation 5 projects.

If insomniacs can make both r&c ra and spider-man mm for ps5, I don't see why SP can't make 2 games for sony too

@wiiware Pretty sure Sucker Punch is a lot smaller than Insomniac Games. I don't think they have two teams.
Would love a new one, but would like a remaster too. First 2 were great enjoyed the 3rd but Cole was a better character imo
Really enjoyed them all. They could really up the scale of the powers and destruction with the more powerful hardware, and I still think there are lots of stories to tell in that universe. Would be a good IP for next gen!
Infamous is one of the best franchise ever.all the games are extremely fun.when i think of infamous sometimes it always reminds me of the legendary infamous mobb deep.word up son

@LiamCroft Really? I though ND and SSM is the biggest sony 1st party studio, followed by Insomniacs and SP, then Bend Studio, and the smallest is MM.
@suikoden I was a massive fan of all the Infamous games after finishing Second son on ps4 I always wished that they could carry on from the good ending on infamous 2 the lightning bolt and the bad ending on second son with him becoming the new "beast" taking everyones powers.
Between this franchise and Uncharted Sony is bleeding them dry. Fingers crossed theres less sequels and more new IPs this gen.
I often think i would like another, but would i start to play and be like meh not all this again (assassin's creed/far cry fatigue)
But something smaller like first light would definitely be welcome.
I'd wager Probably just remeasters. Have played and platinumed all the games in the series and while enjoyable, don't think I'd replay any of them to be honest. Great franchise though!
I'm hoping for a PS5 Remake/Remaster hybrid collection of inFAMOUS 1, 2 + Festival of Blood DLC, and Second Son + First Light.
Also a new inFAMOUS game would be amazing! If Insomniac can be working on two games at the same time, surely Sucker Punch can do the same.

couldn't stand delsin at all, i couldn't bring myself to get anywhere close to finishing second son, though i did really like 1 and 2.

Yeah, that all me right there. I used to emcee and Nas was my major influence. People even said I sounded like him. Nas and all of QB were influential.

Hope so, there isn't really anything similar that comes to mind. Back in the PS3 days it would of been Prototype but that series has vanished to.

I rarely play as good. But I play it the second time to get them trophies. I then do another play through as evil, to cleanse my palette.
loved all the Infamous games so more would be welcome! a remaster of the first 2 would be cool as well.
@suikoden Me too. I hope they bring Cole back. Hate second son and first light. Even thought, I finished them anyway. Cole was the best one and he was fun!
@NomNom I hate being Evil the real world has enough of that. But that is just me i only disliked that you got Evil point for helping the ones attacked by mobs. I would like too see a more grey area.
Well, I hope it's more like the first 2 if they do. I loved both of those, but - as pretty as it was (and still is), I really couldn't get into Second Son. The powers just didn't seem as... well... powerful.
I played it through once as 'good', and though it's still in my collection, I never went back to it. I suppose I should at some point, but it'll only be for the trophies.
