We're staring down the barrel of Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time, with the PlayStation 4 platformer due to arrive in early October. We're all seriously looking forward to it here at Push Square, but some lucky media outlets had the chance to go hands on with it early. GameSpot is just one of those websites in question, with four minutes of brand new gameplay to be found on its YouTube channel. We've embedded that above so you don't have to go anywhere.
Captured on a PS4 Pro, you can probably tell that this fourth mainline entry is looking very faithful to the PlayStation 1 classics. The gameplay clip includes two different levels -- Dino Dash and Snow Way Out -- as well as Crash Bandicoot and Neo Cortex in the playable role. It's looking like so much good fun, making the wait for 2nd October 2020 that little bit more difficult.
How hyped are you for Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time? Let us know in the comments below.

Looks fun. Slightest movement and it looks like he wants to sprint.
Very retro as expected in terms of gameplay, but it looks great!
Looks like a tough level that will give me some problems, but I’ll eventually beat. Good ol Crash.
That's looking good. It could be quite challenging as well, which is fine as I like a bit of difficulty in these kinds of games.

Still not really digging the art style but gameplay seems everything I wanted.
Interesting that the wumpa fruit are now numbered seemingly as a collectible in each level.
I don't know if it's the same level or what but there's a video from PlayStation Access on it: https://youtu.be/2GqaGzThfv0
Cortex gameplay looks really innovative and interesting. Like this a lot
my next lockdown seems will be entertaining
Did not buy the remakes. But this is day 1
Looks like tons of fun.
Super happy we're getting a new Crash that keeps the classic formula but has some new ideas that keep the gameplay fresh.
This looks so ...:Crash like, I love it
That sprinting toward the screen level looks miserable. Why bring that back?
Not a CB fan, but Cortex's playstyle at least looks interesting.
@Ralizah it's a classic style/scenario of the crash games. You're not a fan as stated though so wouldn't expect you to understand why 😂
