It had been widely accepted that Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning would be coming to PlayStation 4 next month following a leak, but that isn't actually the case. The remaster of this last-gen RPG is releasing on current-gen consoles on 8th September 2020, and what's more, it's getting an entirely new expansion in 2021 named Fatesworn. Check out the announcement trailer above for more context.
A standard edition of the game will be priced at £34.99/$39.99, or you can opt for the Fate Edition which will include the Fatesworn expansion when it launches for £47.99/$54.99.
The CGI footage is accompanied by a YouTube description which touches on "stunning visuals, refined gameplay and all new content". The new content in question is, of course, Fatesworn. This DLC is said to delve into the future of the Fateless One. So, there we have it. Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning is a complete remaster of the original game and all its DLC along with a new expansion arriving next year. You'll have to pay for that, but it's still pretty exciting.

I'm really looking forward to this.
Damn forgot this one was coming. I have NWN and FF9 to finish, and I was looking at another Divinity OS run. Bring it on!
Oh, and FF:CC?
Day one buy for PS4. Bought original on PC and loved it.
I started playing this again recently but I'll hold off for the remaster. The combat is still great fun, sneaking up on an enemy and taking them down with stealthy knife jabs is like a cartoon version of TLoU2.
Sounds promising but wish they had shown some gameplay so we can see how the remaster looks.
I missed this first time round even tho I loved the demo. I won't be making that mistake again
@Rob3008 Yeah, I agree, a trailer for a remaster without any gameplay is not very interesting... I hope we will have another trailer soon, since I am excited for this if it's done well!
This makes me so happy...
I was looking forward to this in August, but I won't complain about the delay . And the new expansion is a great idea. Hopefully we get another title or two out of this.
Can’t wait for this! Absolutely loved this game back in the day when it was released. Hopefully it catches on and gets a sequel.
Im looking forward to this, since i really liked the original release back in the day. But this trailer is pretty awful, it does not do it justice. Also, im wondering who is the developer behind the re-release and expansion, since i thought the original developer were gone.
Enjoyed the original a lot on 360, would be nice to see what the actual re-master looks like. If this is upgraded to PS5 will it be a re-re-reckoning?
I was hoping this would be my August game D:
Have this on steam may play thru again.
Heard about this a while back , thanks for the update.
And this is how you do it.
A remaster of the old game and a new expansion. Both announced at once. Everyone gets something.
Have the original on PC. Looking forward to the expansion.
Thats the way you do a remastered game.and releasing a new expansion also.good job to the unsung hero of gaming.i l💖ve thq games.cant wait.word up son
Hmmm, i would have liked the expansion content to have been put into a sequel.
I'm not about to drop almost £50 to play the extra content, maybe they'll release it on PS3, now that would be awesome. (and unlikely)
But for those who have never played it, i really enjoyed it, enough to get the Platinum.
All we have to say take you THQ one of my favorite publisher with Focus
What dlc was there for the original?
Nice. But where's the gameplay?
Aw nice, it comes out on my birthday! Unfortunately for Kingdoms of Amalur, Tony Hawk comes out the 4th so that’s accounted for.
@playstation_king Legend of Dead Kel or something, it was Pirate themed and another expansion about Giants i think? Been so long im a bit foggy!
This is an awesome game, I know I'll be tempted to re-buy if the upgrades and/or expansion are good enough. Glad someone grabbed all the rights to this and kept alive the game and story. Hopefully it will sell well and we'll see a second game!
I never got around to playing my PS3 copy, so definitely interested!
Wow, Re-Reckoning? That's terrible.
Hope game does better this time around tho.
so happy I loved this game!!
