The first of three pieces of DLC for Nioh 2 has today launched on the PlayStation Store, bringing with it a brand new area to do battle in and another story to follow. Titled The Tengu's Disciple, you can purchase it standalone for £7.99/$9.99 or as part of the Nioh 2 season pass which comes in at £19.99/$19.99.
The listing states: "Travel to the new coastal region of Yashima and go back in time to the final years of the Heian period. There, you’ll meet new allies, face fearsome yokai and discover the connection between the legendary Sohayamaru and Otakemaru." The DLC will unlock access to more than 10 new missions across three different stages, more unique bosses and Yokai, and an all-new weapon type named the SplitStaff. With two more content packs to come in the following months, these additions to Nioh 2 appear to be fairly meaty. We're sure they'll make what was already a great game even better.

Just finished on Tsushima, so now on to kill some Yokai with my next badass samurai. Gaming summer 2020 is really good !!
Nioh 2 is my Sony game of the year so far I have to say. The gameplay driven mechanics are much more appealing to me than the more cinematic approach of Last of Us 2.
Fingers crossed Team Ninja are able to do a Nioh 3 for the PS5.
I'd go as far to say the two Nioh games are the PS4's most underrated exclusives.
Freed from this mortal coil!!!!!!!!!
Yeah I'll be getting this at some point. Superb game.
I’m really disappointed at the degree to which heavy armor and hammers trivialized the game. Hammers was a role-play choice (I used Harley Quinn appearance), but ended up with a heavy attack that steamrolls everything.
Just got back in to this recently. I'm still in the second last area of the main game. I'll go back to it properly after Ghost of Tsushima.
I got stuck on the last boss, before getting distracted by newer games.
I have the season pass, so I’ll absolutely get back to it.
I'll wait for complete edition, but loved the first one.
@Elodin Haha, same, I'll wait for the complete edition and a sale...I only finally got the original Nioh complete edition just the other week!
@SlimDrizzyLamar Hi there friend. You are absolutely right. Myself being both a Samurai and Shinobi fan as well as a fan of japanese culture it´s like a dream come true. And what makes it better is that all of them are awesome and fun to play. What a time to be a gamer. Cheers, stay safe and happy gaming to us all
@pip_muzz they are brilliant games with more of a focus on pure gameplay than anything else. The loot system is like crack.
@Severian @Elodin Same here waiting for Complete Edition...also still need to play my copy of Nioh though.
