Halo Infinite was the tentpole title showcased during Microsoft’s big Xbox briefing last week, and the web’s still aflutter with chatter regarding the first-person shooter. Some kind of Dreams adaptation was inevitable, then, and one of the PlayStation 4 exclusive’s more famous creators Disarmed has taken it upon themselves to come up with some kind of adaptation.

Clearly this is a very simplistic homage, but it starts out with the game’s title screen and goes on to show some very rudimentary first-person exploration. Visually, it’s an impressive achievement considering it’s been built on a PS4 with a DualShock 4 controller; the audio is pretty decent, too. There’s no sign of Craig, though – a missed opportunity.

Let the “it looks better in Dreams” comments begin 😆
@Feena it does though 😂
@Feena Yeah 😁 I'm personally not cleaver enough to write a joke on how this already looks leagues better then Infinite but I'm sure someone here can do the job.
Let's see if they can recreate the majesty of this guy in Dreams, though. He looks like he needs all 12 teraflops so I'm not so sure.
looks better in Dreams looked so 360 era huge disappointment.
Resistance fall of man a ps3 launch game looks better than halo infinite.word is bond.word life.word to your mother.word up son
About time Sony get a AAA studio on an FPS something amazing for the PS5 please.
We could call it Rainbow instead of Halo.
That’s what expected and a bit more for the Halo reveal last week. Not the shower that Microsoft showed.
I feel bad for all the Xbox players who wanted a next gen Halo
@Avenger1030 As a full on Halo fan, having cutting edge graphics isn't the main concern. Halo 4 and 5 were considered beautiful games, but played like ass. Halo 3 and Reach looked great, but were hardly giving Gears or PS3 exclusives a run for their money.
No, the biggest issue with Infinite is a lack of graphical consistency and artistical flair, and the potential for the gameplay to be another lame duck.
@Richnj Halo Reach was great.
I think people were a little harsh when they made fun of the Halo Infinite, because it's an early build of the game, but I've gotten admit, this actually looks a little better than the gameplay trailer. Hopefully the final version of the offical game looks spectacular by release.
@HotGoomba I don’t buy the early build. It’s releasing in a few months. I saw a trailer for Ghost like 2 years ago and it looked incredible, like a small slice of the game you ended up with. Same thing with Uncharted 4 but that’s obviously not open world.
It does "look" better but its a very short and simple thing and no way in hell plays better, if lets say they could stretch this out to have all of Infinite then it would go from looking better to looking far far worse. End of the day you can create food what looks like the real thing in Dreams but it doesn't mean you can create a photorealism full game. Very cool Dreams can allow you to do something like this though.
Joking apart the dreams version does actually have better foliage
I'm just glad I've already chosen a side on this console war, and I genuinely am baffled why people would still choose Xbox, other than friends and potentially price. Xbox One players are getting Halo Infinite, the big game they've been touting for years as the bridge to next gen. There's no incentive to buy a Series X in my opinion, since they are very well keeping the Xbox One alive, and the differences in tech are so hard to see unless it's in person and a direct comparison.
@ztpayne7 Yeah, that's true, and this would be disappointing on Xbox 360 hardware (That runs Tomb Raider 2, a PS4/XB1 game, really well with no additional downloads or multiple discs), so hopefully the game is much better by release, ad the gameplay seems pretty faithful.
I just hate the people who make fun of Xbox for the stupidest things (mostly on Twitter)
The other day, I saw someone making fun of Psychonauts 2……which is a sequel to a PS2 game....and it's an art style....and it's not made for next gen....and it's still coming to PS4....
[Sorry for the kinda unrelated note ↑, I just found that dumb.]
That is AMAZING Shame no one said that about the real version
@WallyWest yeah, and this Dreams creation didn't cost $500m to make and have thousands of Devs working on it for 5 years. The last Halo game I enjoyed was Reach, I thought ODST had some really good ideas too, but Halo 4 and 5 were complete ass to play, didn't mind 343i's art direction actually, but they played like utter garbage. I think Microsoft need to let Halo die for a while, like ID did with Doom, and then do a proper reboot, free from all the legacy, hubris and toxic expectations around the franchise.
