PlayStation 2 JRPG Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne is getting a surprise remaster next year, and to demonstrate what it looks like in action, Atlus has given us a lengthy glimpse at the current-gen rerelease with 14 minutes of gameplay. We've embedded footage of this PlayStation 4 remaster above, which details its turn-based combat, exploration, and conversations with characters.
It's all entirely in Japanese, but you'll get a good sense of what to expect if you've never played this cult classic before. Since it releases after July 2020, it has to be certified to work on PS5 BC, so I'll happily play it on PS5 next year.
What the hells happened to that guys hair?
Still can’t believe I will be able to play my favorite SMT again and on 1080p <3
Wish they'd Remaster DD Saga 1&2 as a single package. Those games were so underrated.
Yeah I will grab it. Ill also grab the new one on switch when it drops.
Always found it funny that Nintendo even had the series exclusive to them considering how dark and mature the themes are, in comparison to their fan base.

Too much Ghost of Tsushima perhaps - he's obviously gone for an authentic Samurai haircut/top knot style combo 😆
I’m not too familiar with this series, were they mostly on the PS1/PS2?
It just looks like Nocturne, lol. I'd probably stick with my PS2 version if I wasn't excited by the prospect of playing this on a portable system.
