If you've never had the chance to visit England's second city and do a spot of shopping at the Bull Ring or stand in the away end of Villa Park, Peaky Blinders: Mastermind will only be able to help you with the latter. That's because Birmingham's grand retail centre didn't open its doors until 2003 and this puzzle-adventure spin-off of the BBC's hit TV show starts its tale at the beginning of the 20th century. Better yet, we now know when we'll be able to witness the rise of Tommy Shelby. Peaky Blinders: Mastermind comes to PlayStation 4 on 20th August 2020.
The latest game from Velocity 2X developer FuturLabs strikes us as an undertaking unlike anything else it has done before, but it's probably still in safe hands. Game director James Marsden said: "It's been an honour to be trusted with the Peaky Blinders license. Our team has created a game that reflects the heart of what makes the show compelling: Tommy Shelby's ability to manipulate friends, family and foes in the pursuit of his master plan.”
For those who don't know, the title takes place just before the start of the first season and is a more strategical take on the popular TV series. It'll cost £19.99/$24.99. Are you hyped to take this new trip down memory lane? Go round the Wrekin in the comments below.

This look decent
Looks interesting at the very least. I absolutely love the show, so I may end up picking this up. It's interesting to see how games based on Netflix (in this case, Netflix and BBC) shows are targeting the indie vibe (with Narcos and Stranger Things being other examples). I wonder if it gives less pressure to produce an amazing, top-of-the-line experience while still offering fans the joy of interacting with their favorite show properties.
I assume that’s a different James Marsden as the game’s director 😂😂
I just want a Mafia-type Peaky Blinders game. Make it happen.
