Update: The publisher has now issued a statement ahead of Ubisoft Forward this evening:
Original story: Members of Ubisoft's executive team have resigned from the company after multiple allegations of sexual harassment were made against them. The chief creative officer, named Serge Hascoet, human resources director Cecile Cornet, and Yannis Mallat have all left the French publisher. The latter was the managing director of Ubisoft's Canadian branch, who said: "The recent allegations that have come to light in Canada against multiple employees make it impossible for [Mallat] to continue in this position."
Bloomberg's Jason Schreier expanded on what this means for the company after more than 100 cases of sexual harassment were made to Ubisoft's HR division. "Serge Hascoet was the man in charge of ALL of their games. With one word he could greenlight or cancel a project. Many Ubisoft employees believed he was too powerful and close to the CEO to ever be ousted, no matter how many allegations emerged", he said on Twitter. Yves Guillemot has said that the editorial team will receive a complete overhaul in an effort to create an inclusive and open culture.
Ubisoft plans to host its Forward digital event in just a matter of hours. However, due to its pre-taped nature, it is unlikely that the publisher will comment on the current situation.

Oh boy...Great timing with the Ubisoft Direct soon too... This is a marketing and PR nightmare.
Wow...when will the Terminators take over this world?
@Severian marketing and PR nightmare would be to find out next week or a month from now they intentionally kept this silent not to spoil their PR event.
It’s always bad news to find out the company has allowed this in the past, but today’s news is them being ousted is actually good news.
@JON22 There are still ethics in the porn industry...Ron Jeremy is already facing allegations and charges for groping and harassment...
Holy crap, three people?? Just how bad was it working for Ubisoft?
Parts of Ubisoft have gotten too "forward" I guess. Haven't they read their assassin's creed disclaimer!?
@nessisonett These people were part of the executive team. Which more than likely means practices like these were trickled down and far more widespread as it enables others to follow in their steps without consequences. You can read the report on eurogamer for some more graphic details if you're interested.
Sexual harassment simulatoe 2020. Im calling it as their next release.
Ubisoft can't keep their games from leaking so it baffles me how some employers think their misdeeds from getting out.
Cecile Cornet and Yannis Mallet do sound like porn names.
You really don't know how to spell "harassment"?? And no spellchecker available in your newsroom???
@ApostateMage To me it sounds like a female main character in a JRPG and the name of her weapon.
@ApostateMage So true!!
Wow 100 allegations.
@Matroska It really does! Have a liccle heart.
I get the feeling that every huge enough corporation no matter what field they exist in becomes eventually rotten to the core. Crunch work, sweat shops, sexual harassment, gaslighting, etc. mix in the usual balooney-headed higher-ups taking huge profits home while letting go many employees at the first sign of a crisis and you basically have a nice sample of todays world.
Yuck.
"More than 100 case's of Sexual Harassment"
It's strange zero cases taken to the authorities. Angry Job had the same sort of thing levelled at him, and when it all came out it was basically him hitting on her no sexual harassment at all. She never told him she wasn't interested or had a boyfriend, she made it sound like Joe basically took her against her will. And when it call came out she deleted it, very strange behaviour don't you think? Or it a very dishonest person after something, Joe is apparently taken legal action against her, and he should you should also destroy her financially if he can like they she trying to do to him. If I was these people involve not only the authorities but legal action too, and if they are guilty involve authorities because they shouldn't be able to do it again to someone else which these people are obviously ok with by keeping the authorities out of it.
@Severian obviously I didn't mean become porn actors to touch people willy nilly. Just when the director says so😀
