There’s no question that Vampire: The Masquerade is a confusing franchise. Based on a tabletop role-playing game, there are multiple publishers and developers all contributing to the same franchise, and The Council maker Big Bad Wolf Studio is just one of them. Due out next year on the PlayStation 5 and the PlayStation 4, Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong is a choice-driven thriller in which you’ll play as three different vampires in a “heart-pounding story in which your choices decide the fate of Boston”.
“Each character has their own vampiric disciplines that can be upgraded to suit your preferred approach,” the official blurb reads. “Will you choose, intimidation, seduction, or stealth? It’s your decision, provided you can keep the hunger for blood at bay. With its unique approach to gameplay, Swansong puts the emphasis on consequence. Analyse each situation carefully, the choices you make during the investigation, and your social interactions with characters can have a lasting impact on the fate of your heroes’ lives and the fate of the Boston Camarilla.”

Brilliant, I’m so happy the franchise is getting some love all these years after Bloodlines. It really is a great time to be a fan.
Ok but... What kind of game is it? Any particular genre? "Choice-driven thriller" could be used to describe a million different things to be honest.
If story and choices are a big part of this, then I'll likely rather enjoy the game.
A date for BloodLines 2 would be nice.
Hated, Coteries of New York. Not falling for this one.
I never played the original but I thought it was a mod for Oblivion lol.
Apparently you can skip missions you find "triggering", give it 4 months after release and it'll be $30.
@thefirst The original VtM Bloodlines is so so much better than Vampyr and that game wasn’t bad at all. Yeah, you need a patch for the game to be basically playable because it was rushed out but it’s right up there with Deus Ex and Thief as one of the best immersive sims out there
Played the original on PC. The game was done in the Source Engine before Valve gave us Half-life 2. Some kind person fixed many of the missions with updates to the Python scripts. Interested in what they have done 👍
@MrSensical probably somewhere along the lines of the developers pervious title The Council, which was similar to Telltale adventure style games with a twist
So being completely new to the series should i play this before Bloodlines 2 or is this just like a side story type deal? Looks really cool. My favorite vampire game hands down is Blood Omen 2 on ps2. I dabbled a bit in Vampyr, should probably redownload it again at some point and try it again.
