It looks like PlayStation Access got its knickers in a twist because rather than Crysis Remastered launching today on PlayStation 4, it has actually been handed an official release date. Crytek has revealed that the remaster of the 2007 PC classic will be coming on 18th September 2020 by way of a new trailer that shares just a glimpse of what to expect from this updated version. We've embedded that for your viewing pleasure above.

Ported by Saber Interactive, footage makes quick note of new lighting, updated assets, and ray-traced water reflections. Textures have even boosted up to an 8K resolution while reflections also take advantage of ray tracing. "Crysis Remastered features several enhancements that deliver a major visual upgrade, including high-quality textures up to 8K, HDR support, temporal anti-aliasing, Screen Space Directional Occlusion (SSDO), Global Illumination (SVOGI), state-of-the-art depth fields, new light settings, motion blur, parallax occlusion mapping, Screen Space Reflections and Shadows (SSR & SSS), new and updated particle effects, and more", a press release reads. The ray-tracing capabilities appear to be exclusive to the PS4 Pro. The game will cost £26.99/$29.99 on PS4.
