We've known for some time that Cyberpunk 2077 will follow the same post-release plan as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, offering up additional stories in the form of paid expansions. But CD Projekt Red has also confirmed that the futuristic adventure will be supplemented with free DLC.
The aforementioned Witcher 3 received a bunch of free content packs and updates after it was released in 2015. It got new quests, features, and a load of smaller tweaks. It's fair to assume that Cyberpunk 2077 will enjoy a similar scenario, although we don't have any official details to go on just yet.
Cyberpunk 2077 is still set to launch this November on PS4, but how's your hype holding up? Give free DLC a cheer in the comments section below.

My backlog is completely tackled and my body is ready for Cyberpunk 2077!
May other developers follow suit
I love cdpr but as with Witcher it feels like cut content used for promo purposes. Just include it in the game.
I’m more interested in seeing the maintain the quality of Witcher 3 and them to again provide quality expansion packs as dlc.
Nice. I can't wait for this game.
Beautiful. My PS4 is going out with a bang.
Good news but a lot of other developers do it without getting on their high horse.
@ApostateMage Hopefully not literally.
It's a clever marketing thing. Not only does it engender goodwill now, but all they have to do is take a few guns or armour pieces out of the game then release some each week as free DLC and it guarantees all gaming sites will have weekly articles about it for months to come. Case in point, the free hairstyle DLC for TW3 was just hairstyles that were already in TW2 but were removed from the base version of TW3.
Damm I must have missed the delay news, thought it was still out in September, ah well still got loads of games to keep me busy.
@Matroska Exactly how it is! people are too simple minded to see what they are doing. All of what the witcher 3 had for free was some finisher animation and a couple of costumes, hairstyle and a contract mission all of which were cut out from the game and released as "free DLC'. They sure know how to get praise from players and look as consumer friendly as possible. Manipulation at it's finest
@Matroska exactly. It’s purely marketing
I agree with some others, it is great getting "free content" but you do have to question whether the content was finished in the first place and they just decided to cut bits out of the game to release at a later date for good pr.
But if it was made after the game releases then yeah I think that is good on them.
