Dynasty Warriors series producer Akihiro Suzuki has teased a number of game announcements via a new Famitsu interview (as translated by Gematsu). In celebration of the property's 20th anniversary, Suzuki says: "I hope to be able to announce a 20th anniversary title in the near future." He adds: "By the way, there is not only one anniversary title."
It's difficult to say what these upcoming projects could be, but thankfully, it sounds as though they won't have anything to do with the disastrous Dynasty Warriors 9. Suzuki states that the development team is aware of how poorly the most recent title was received, and that he's not sure if future games will attempt to tackle the open world formula again. He also says that Dynasty Warriors 9 isn't a good fit for an Xtreme Legends-style expansion.
What would you like to see from Dynasty Warriors? A return to form? Maybe something completely new? Make some predictions in the comments section below.

I liked the earlier games and enjoyed the Gundam version too but it did lose it's way and got stale quickly. I hope they turn it around and will definitely dip back in if they do!
Dynasty Warriors 4352, now with every single historical figure in the history of asian culture, and the same old levels rehashed, but now in 120 frames, and with customizable neckties and socks, and new voice acting including excellent new exciting phrases like "OWWW" and "UGGH" to enhance your gaming experience.
Have always been a fan of the style, but a huge graphical upgrade is necessary.
It’s always been a series where the spin offs did better in reviews so perhaps they should just go further afield and make loads and loads of spin offs. Ready Steady Cook Warriors, Corrie Warriors, Eastern Mind: The Lost Souls of Tong Nou Warriors... the list goes on.
I hope they can return the dynasty mode or add a conqueror mode in future installment like working your way up from a private or a volunteer to become a general or a ruler and unify china but it will be focused on the player character more like a mash between ROTK and Dynasty warriors games. But i cannot wait for a new installment after DW9 it was the 1st DW i abandoned in its early days after starting playing it.
Uncharted Warriors and Last of Us Warriors
Am I the only one that want's a Samurai Warriors 5 before the next DW? It's been so many years since a new number entry in the series and the last 4 games were really good(especially SW4, SOS and SW4 Empires). It's been the better series recently and their is so much potential with new battles and new characters.
Honestly after playing the JP version of Persona 5 Scramble I'd honestly be down for a full on Persona Warriors game that uses every single cast. It's about time P1 and 2 got the love they deserved. I'd also really like a new Samurai Warriors or another Musou game based on a Nintendo franchise like Hyrule or Fire Emblem Warriors
@TheFrenchiestFry yeah Samurai Warriors has been the better series lately and they set up a lot of stuff in SOS for SW5(Maybe a TGS announcement hopefully). Hopefully P5S will come out here by the end of the year as well.
Surprised they haven't done a Naruto Warriors game by now. Feels like an obvious choice for them.
Knack Warriors
@QBGaming12 I would love a game like Orochi Warriors 3 but running good and looking good and without the punishing trophies.
@Flaming_Kaiser Yeah Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate was a perfect game, it was way better than 4 all around(even though the Gods are cool to use). I'm just hoping they take their time with DW10 and SW5 should be next up since it's been over 6 years since SW4 came out. Their is way more to do with the Sengoku Era.
They can't win with this. The old style is stale for most and when they try something new everyone complains.
Wish they would remaster DW3
@QBGaming12 And cut down the insane amount of bad DLC.
I believe that dynasty warriors 8 and dynasty warriors 8 extreme legends are the crown of the franchise. Amazing gameplay, nice level system, the character's were all given role to the story. I liked also the choose character mode. The uniform's were authentic and with the army style of the era, and not stupid funcy as dw7. The 2 unique attack system of the extreme legend was a nice touch. The what if scenario was brilliant and i hope the company give us more, with more challenges. I didn't like the fact that they didn't put a story teller for the loading screen as they had at dw7. The unique weapon for every character, no matter if it was silly or not, 1was the true fan of the game, making every character unique.
In conclusion, koei company should walk at the same path as dw8, with more characters, not essential for wu, shu, Wei, Jin and lu bu but for other clans also. Give as more stories, a complete journey for the romance of the three kingdom's and of course more and bigger cutscenes for every level and less dlc. The difficulty of the game must also be a little more higher. The conquest mode of dw7 was a nice touch also.
I love this game, and if you consider that the story is the same at every franchise i still find it worth playing it.
I hope koei company returns with a master piece
