It feels like we've been waiting an age to see some proper Godfall action, and the latest State of Play livestream finally delivered. The self-titled 'looter-slasher' shows real promise in this new gameplay video, as footage highlights combat against a range of different enemies.
Equipped with a very God of War shield and a weapon of your choice, Godfall looks like it could be a really fun time. It'll support online co-op for up to three players when it launches holiday 2020 on PlayStation 5. After this demonstration, we're certainly looking forward to getting our hands on it.

i'm just happy it focused on the SP aspect of the game,as that is a deciding factor for me.
I finally understood what this game is. A none isometric Diablo.
Godfall looks really good.definetly getting this game.word up son
They said "let's wrap up with Godfall" and I turned it off.
40 minutes of nothing of interest to me... 40 minutes wasted in which I could have been playing GoT. This was dire all round, in my personal opinion.
It really seems like Diablo in third person with heavy focus on melee skills.
It might be a day one for me, let’s see.
This is the first time I've even been mildly interested in Godfall. That overview went way more in detail than I was expecting.
I can't wait to play this game with the primary attacks and secondary attacks for each character.
Ground Finishers... That's a great idea. I'm glad they pointed that out to me in the long video. This looks the most original and best launch title ever.
@RBMango Agree.
This actually make me a bit interested in the game now.
It's a co-op loot-driven God of War-melee-like game.
Looks great. ☺️ Hope single player will be polished and there will be NO multiplayer (or coop) trophies. After that flood of open world rpgs, this looks to be classic hack'n'slash I didn't see since Darksiders III.
... I miss those games like Castlevania: Lament of innocents, God of War 1,2,3, Prince of Persia (PS3) etc. which were great action 3d platformers...
I hope co op is great. That's why I'm interested.
So...Destiny with swords on rails.
Not feelin this one. Weapon classes look super boring.

I feel that this game is very similar to Outriders! Especially how they describe both games..
What do your guys think?
The big different i see between those to is that godfall is next gen game.. And outrider is cross gen.
@Ridwaano Haven't had a proper look at Outriders so will have to have a look.
@Ridwaano The personal key difference is that Godfall didn't bore me to death while watching gameplay, unlike Outriders. Also, like I said, I'm only "mildly" interested now. It still has a very long way to go before it becomes a priority game for me.
@Ear_wiG - Exactly my thoughts too. Those movesets looked about as generic as they come. I won't write it off completely until I've seen the polearm combat but on that showing I doubt it will be any better.
Still not too sure about this one. Enemies seem a bit dumb and not really attacking, might be because they wanted to show off the moves, but it did look a bit easy, will wait and see, hopefully it turns out good but at the moment I'm in the wait till it's cheap catagory.
@RBMango Yes that loop of trailer is a bit boring. Also too huge enviroment (wide stairs, big rooms) against few enemies feels empty. It all feels like Darksiders which was fun at the end for a few dozens of hours. But if number of enemies will increase, it can be solid third person Diablo. What I disagree is the game is next-gen. It looks like PS3 average game and a few graphic effects doesn't raise it to be something more. What I afraid most is constant design of levels. A few repetitive monsters without some changes and different enviroment without progress. For example in Diablo, the more closer you are to diablo himself, the more darker and hellish enviroment is and enemies feels more daemonic (Diablo 1 and 2 of course, Diablo 3 is quite different story).
@Ridwaano Didn't play Outriders.
@Shigurui Yeah, “generic” is a solid word choice.
I hope I’m wrong though, I know folks are getting excited about this one...
@djlard
Outrider is still not out 😂 they both coming holiday 2020
@Ridwaano Yes, found it out a few seconds before now. ☺️ Speaking about both games. I hope for strong story. Slashing or shooting monsters without purpose is not what I'm looking for. ☺️
@Ear_wiG - I like the idea of a hack/slash looter but to keep me engaged in the inevitable grind that comes with looters then the swordplay needs to be Ninja Gaiden 2 levels of spectacular to grab my attention. Not that painfully average looking effort.
@Shigurui You played Nioh 2 yet?
@Ear_wiG - Not yet, I'm waiting for a deep sale on that. I sort of hated Nioh in that I enjoyed the combat enough to get the plat but thought the level design was mostly awful. I'm a fussy b*stard lol. I will pick it up eventually though.
@Shigurui I totally hear you. And tbh, the level design isn't much improved in Nioh 2. In fact it's a nearly identical game, aside from a few small additions. So yeah, deep sale, good plan, ha!
Not looking impressive.
